Again, teams like Iowa and Texas take the identity of their coach. This guy is charmin soft.

KU has dominated the conference without ever being overly physical. Baylor has dominated more just from rebounding the ball higher and better than other teams.
Now that we have skilled players I would say ISU and Houston both play physically but not UGLY.
BYU is hanging ok and really not physical at all...they're just better than Texas with less talented players. This is very normal for soft Texas culture.
WVU under Huggy was just ugly and not even real basketball.
KSU fans actually believe all the baseless accusations from Tang and his psycho assistants/family...I'm sure their players have bought into all that fantasy too and that's why they are getting their @$$es kicked since it went down.
It's very physical, but the main difference in contact that I've seen is with the chest, and I really don't think that should be called. If you get to a spot first with your chest, that's great defense and that's your spot. It can get a little bumpy down low, but I haven't seen them swallow the whistle for many that actually affected the shot (beyond the occasional miss).
The BIG looks like the old 6 on 6 girls basketball, limit to 2 dribbles and guards can’t shoot the ball.
I had the TX -Houston game on 2 2nd TC during our game on Saturday. My disclaimer is that I was way more focused on our game but here's what I observed. The first 10 minutes looked like a street brawl with both sides playing very physical. Then TX pretty much quit and Houston rolled the rest of the way.
And Tennessee and South Carolina. The SEC is a physical conference also but they probably don't get away with as much as the Big 12 does. The Big 12 allows more contact than any conference.
Yeah the SEC top teams play football like NFL junior league and proud of it, especially for recruiting, why shouldn't Big12 play like the NBA junior league?
Yea, good thing Tejas won't have to play someone like Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky or South Carolina. I'd be damned if I gave one freaking cent to a coach that admitted they wanted to go someplace easier to play.

It's probably the conference with a playing style that is closest to the Big 12.
This should show Omaha, Fish and Watson they need to build themselves into Tre King lookalikes if they want serious playing time next year. Momcilovic has the skill set to be a wing but we need beasts at the four.
