Road Game Roster

I forgot colorado. Been three times. Tailgating is different, but fun. Stadium is really, really cool. Only had one issue, three years ago, but nothing major. First year we were there they forgot to put porta-potties in the lots by Coors event center, so they just opened it up. Pretty sweet to walk around the basketball facility without anyone around. colorado would be very high on my list of places to return to.

I was waiting for them to turn nasty, but it never happened. Very impressed by the civility and genuine niceness of their fans.

It was crazy how they acted after the game. After the game, walked to our hotel, had Texas fans pull over on the road and congratulate us. Also, had an OU and A/M fan drive by and give us a congratulations. This was my first true road trip (KC/Insight), and was an absolute blast.

Notre Dame - 2009 vs. Boston College - same day as the historic win @ nebby. Never forget the text I received about the win. It was during the game. I went ballistic. People around me thought I was ******** the way I screamed & danced in the aisle.

I was at an Ohio State game last year which was going on at the same time as we were beating Texas. Throughout the game, our score was constantly scrolling with the others on one small scoreboard and occasionally on the big video board and announced over the PA. As the game went on, I built up a nice little following of OSU students who put up a nice roar with me each time they announced we were still winning.

Went to Wisconsin last year when they upset #1 Ohio State. Game atmosphere was electric. Tailgating scene is similar to Kinnick. Not a lot of parking lot tailgating. Drinking is mostly done in bars and on houses that line the streets next to Camp Randall. Although we did stop by and enjoy some beer next to Lake Mendota (I think) that is right next to campus, which was kinda cool. I would recommend going if you get the chance.

P.S. "Jump Around" does shake the stadium and is something you should see before you die.

None of the above. I've seen better at my nephews soccer matches in Gowrie.

Metrodome - sucks. nothing more to say.
Kinnick - I like how close you sit to the field. Still cramped though. Drinking can get out of hand.
Notre Dame - Nicest non-professional stadium I've been too. Lots of history. Great school. Fans were nice.
Kansas - Dump. Nothing more to say. Was a long time ago.
Northwestern - Dump. Tiny. Tailgating far away. Always cold when I've gone. Literally the worst stadium I've been too.
Jack Trice - Small. Needs work. Good parking lot. Really needs that end zone done.
Nebraska - Big. Tailgating sucks. I think the stadium is overrated. All the seats are in the end zones and there are only like 2 exits so it takes forever to get out. Plus the school and state suck.

Soldier (old/new) - Prefer the old soldier field. New one is nice and new.
Old Meadowlands - Sterile. Was kind of crappy when I went a few years ago. New Jersey is a sh!thole.
Invesco - Very nice. Big.
Raymond James (Tampa) - Cool stadium. Really impressed. It's very vertical. The upper deck seats are way up there.

100% correct. Dooshy hawk fans call JTS a glorified HS stadium. It's not but NW is. Basically no tailgating, no cheering and no fun (almost no fans).

NW beat Iowa though...obviously.

My Wife and I caught the Colorado v. Colorado State game in Boulder in I think it was 2009. We tailgated with some pretty high rollers including Director of Broncos Scouting and former Buff Matt Russel (sp?). We had an absolute blast, everyone was extremely nice which was not was we had heard from everyone. We had a great time at the game as well, I wasn't a huge fan of the stadium but it was still fun.

I also learned a pretty sweet trick from a Buff fan (wife's uncle), Put your booze in a ziploc bag and put in your sock. Worked great, so kudos to buff fans on that.

I agree with the poster who said Memorial Stadium in Lincoln is overrated. I know their fans get super excited for the "tunnel walk" but it's kind of lame actually. Only been to one game there, but their fans were really bi-polar toward their team/coaches. Of course, it was in 2007 when they almost got run out of their own stadium by Ball State, so that may have had something to do with it.

Texas is the only other Big 12 stadium I've been to, back in 2002. I had to be in Austin for a weeklong tranining session, so I scheduled it to be the week of the ISU game and met a fellow Clone fan down there. My friend had some cousins (UT fans) coming up from San Antonio, so we tailgated at their RV before and after the game. I had to park somewhere south of the stadium and walk to meet them, but nearly every single tent I walked by, some UT fan offered me food or drink, wanted to talk about the game, or sympathize with me over the previous week's beatdown at the hands of OU.

During the game, we sat in the middle of a large donor section and didn't have a single bad word said to us throughout. In fact, we were going out of our way to be extra quiet for fear of upsetting someone when one of them said, "it's ok for y'all to cheer, we don't mind." Also, most of them were telling us how they wanted to trade Chris Simms for Seneca straight up. The weather was cold and rainy, and the game wasn't very exciting, but it was still a good time.

I see what you did there...kind of a triple entendre.

Well done. +1
