That K-State logo is as clean as it gets, college or pro. The colors are a joke though.

Just saw this on Yahoo! this morning. Even Notre Dame is taking issue with a high school using their logo.

My high school used Notre Dame's mascot for most of my life - then at some point there was some controversy over it, but after a while ND decided we could continue using it.
Then the retards in charge of my school changed the logo anyways. I think it's still painted on the wall in the high school gym, but I haven't been inside that building for a good 8 or 9 years now.

If you want to get technical, from the website that image comes from, there are rip-offs of the University of Minnesota (x 4), Kansas State (x 2), Michigan (x 4), the Arizona Cardinals (x 6 (!)), the Minnesota Vikings, the San Diego Chargers, Clemson (x 4), Purdue, the University of Arizona, Colorado State/St. Louis Rams, and the Chicago Bears. That's a bit ridiculous.

East Greene HS is in Grand Junction, IA. The funny part about it is that they are the EG Hawks and use Cy as inspiration. 90% of people in the town are Hawkeye fans, too.
Treynor in SW Iowa. They literally just took the bottom part of the I off to make it a T on the old walking CY. I also seem to remember the Jefferson-Scranton had the same helmets as the St. Louis Rams.
I could care less if someone uses our likeness, it happens everywhere all the time and ISU would come off really bad if they started cracking down on these high schools.
As a Jefferson-Scranton grad, I can say that we did use the St. Louis Rams helmet, and our mascot is indeed the Ram.
I remember an issue with University of Iowa at a school where my cousin taught. They used an old Hawkeye logo and still got in trouble...

My dad works for a company called Power Lift in Jefferson, IA. They make weight lifting equipment for high schools, colleges, professional sports teams and Olympic teams. High schools steal college and pro sports logos all the time. High schools can use NFL logos as long as the colors remain the same IIRC. MLB is a big stickler and legally won't even let Little League teams use their logos.

Gilbert is really close to the University of Georgia "G". The one I see on their athletics website right now is slightly different, but in the photo galleries the football helmets look like they just have the red outline in a different place: Athletic Office - Gilbert Community School District
