Part of our problem is that we are always showing up late to the party and then try to fit in by copying the cool people. We cant pull it off as well as they can because of recuriting. I think we need to stay old school.
If things get really bad and the fans get bored, we can always do this:

At least if we go to a pro set we have something to sell as much of the NFL uses it at least in part.
Who runs this "pro-style" stuff effectively? I would guess that the successful teams you can find are all teams that have historic recruiting advantages.
There may be slight changes in the scheme, more pass, more run, a little bit more under center, etc. But I would be stunned if Rhoads completely stops using the spread offense, and frankly I don't think going into a pro style offense would help anyway.
