Utah is a great place to visit but it’s almost culture shock if you are there to long. Like they are not like us. Those people are different. Really nice but just different

Eh, a lot of people from out of the state have moved there making it pretty easy to find friends. Easier than say, if an out of stater moved to Iowa where everyone has their friends group and population is not getting an influx as much.

I struggle keeping up with one wife, no way I could handle the standard 3-5 for Utah.

I think they make blue pills for that…

Has anyone relocated to the Utah area specifically St George or cedar City. The opportunity seems to be presenting itself and we're doing the initial research on the pros and cons of such a move

I drive through St George on a lot of my backpacking and outdoor adventures trips. If I were to move anywhere in Utah it would probably be my pick.

I did become friends with a Utah couple where the guy was a white non believer and the girl was a Latina catholic. They still like Utah but they described it as a struggle with the religious pressures. Things like neighbors initial greeting being to ask “have you accepted Christ” instead of the polite “hello”.

Used to ride Frontrunner and get some trial runs from the missionaries heading to the airport.

Brunches were often gatherings of former lds members with traumatic family stories.

Working for an international company at the time, didn’t have much issue as a lot were from out of state or used to mixed religious environment.

Conference time, though, the out of city folks showed up and it’s weird out there.

I’d live in park city if I had to move back, and could afford it.
