Is this a systemic issue against the big12?

Listened to the radio and heard Mizzou obvious false start that wasn't called, that and led to a touchdown. Radio guys were beside themselves.

Next, Ok St player went shoulder to shoulder on a big hit, targeting confirmed. Then they say the exact same hit by a Mizzou, but no targeting bc he wrapped up after he hit...

Lastly, Mizzou tackles Cornelius past the whole out of bounds by body slamming, penalty on an o-line for pushing MO player.

Ridiculous.

That is ridiculous. Of course, OSU isn't throwing interceptions or fumbling the ball - so they aren't giving the game away (even though they have had tough officiating breaks). Imagine if we had won the "take-away" battle in our game - I think we win by 2 scores.

I've been watching the game. While there have been a couple of questionable calls, nothing that I've seen has been egregious. The targeting call was correct by the definition of the rule (but that rule needs to change). And the "late hit" on the OSU QB was nothing close to that.

How about the hit on the sideline during this last pick?

How about the slobber-knocker that just happened. THAT was targeting! Gotta get this damn rule figured out. It’s ruining the game.

Spoke too soon with Ok ST not turning it over, lol.

I guess my point is that:
1. How many false starts can be missed? Never if not, very rarely have I ever heard missing this call.
2. Suppose bad calls both ways still. Guess the point is the targeting needs to change as others have said.

That very out of bounds take-down of the OSU QB should have been a personal foul. Instead, it ended up being an unsportsman-like conduct against OSU.

We feel their pain.

I would disagree. He took him down way past the OB line. Should've been a flag. Know where you are on the field.

It is amazing to think back upon how our defense absolutely shut down OSU.

edit: Never mind. I was thinking of the West Virginia game. Senior moment.

These targeting calls are out of control. That last hit by the OSU defender is a hit that you dream about dishing out and now it's a penalty. People play football to hit, if you don't want to hit or get hit then go play a different sport.

Agree. Or, eliminate helmets and pads and strap on belts and flags.
