Recruits that I see/hear coming in this weekend

Earl Hall - at OTC, originally committed to Rutgers, high school in Dade, Florida
Eleazar De Luca - at OTC - originally committed to Arizona State, high school in Oregon
Jesse Doyle - at OTC - committed to Iowa State last year - high school in North Carolina
Daniel Woiwor - at Apple Valley - already verballed to us

I wonder if any Iowa boys are coming back again, as in Marlin or Sorensen
(rumors are Marlin has verballed to Iowa)

I was kind of hoping Willie Miklus would show up with the rest of the OTC boys!

I also wonder what is happening with Edwin Cooper.

Yes - this is definitely turning into a big recruit weekend for Iowa State. At lest we aren't waiting on Sorensen and Marlin to make decisions. Earl Hall, Jesse Doyle, Eleazar De Luca, and Danny Woiwor for sure this weekend and Jered Cortez is a junior coming in.

Sorensen and Marlin are both hawkeyes, Sorensen article in the DMR today. Don't get me wrong I love to see the talented kids coming in to visit, i hate to see that they are all from the OTC. After the McCaulley commit/decommit stay at the OTC, makes we second guess any commitment we get from one of these guys, truthfully i'd love to get any of the guys listed above, but would rather get a actual high school-er stud not going to the OTC.

Crooksie, I agree, but with not a lot of studs in Iowa this year (2) and the situation/uncertain that the wrestling world is placing on Iowa State, this was probably a good option for us and we have some very good connections with the OTC. That is Reader and TnT.

Until fans and others quit labeling us as wrestling school going down hill fast, we will have trouble recruiting.

I hope KJ and the team have success this year and the staff gets a contract extension and we can quiet the negativity

Go Clones, can't wait!!!

What is Blackford rated? I remember seeing him wrestle in junior high and he would just get after it. Good wrestler, obviously.

I remember the great cyclone wrestling teams. They were led by great coaches. The turning point the way I see it was when Jim Gibbons was replaced by Bobby Douglas. Look at past history. If anyone tells you that Gibbons left because he wanted to pursue personal business is full of crap.

Recruiting has me baffled this year.

I see Cooper is on a flight to Oklahoma, I assume to visit Oklahoma or Okla State

Earl Hall is in Nebraska.

I don't know who are priorities are.

Not sure who would be with Finch - Might be Alex Bambic (a 197 pounder from Arizona) - just a guess
