RECRUITING: Tristan Castillo/ISU chances

Missouri has probably their best recruiter after him, Andy Hill who recruits Kansas City/Western Missouri. Hill and Cornell Ford who recruits St Louis were the only coaches retained by Odom. It would be a heavy lift for ISU to flip him but it is good to see Campbell trying to establish a presence in the region.

They flipped a highly rated QB recruit from Boise State last week to Missouri so that probably helps them.
 
If Trystan Castillo decides that he is coming to Ames, we can likely thank Jerry Kill (ex-Minnesota HC). Coach Kill directed AD Pollard to Coach Campbell. I would not be surprised if Coach Kill dropped Trystan Castillo's name in their ear. Jerry Kill once was the high school football coach at Webb City, Missouri (Trystan Castillo's home town).

So he's going live at 5pm to announce he's committing to a place he's already committed to? Narcissism at its finest.

Hudl spells it: Tristan
CW spells it: Tristan

I just hope we get one of them.

Why wouldn't Kill direct the kid to Minnesota?
 
Kill recommended Campbell to Foster when Foster was considering options other than MN. Foster has said as much in interviews.

Meanwhile Missouri's new DL coach who was hired in December has left for a job with the NFL Eagles. Maybe Campbell should try to flip some Missouri DL commits.
