RECRUITING: Thik Bol information

The most useful thing about an associates degree is that it qualifies you for any 4 year school with really no questions asked. If Malou gets his associates there is no question about his eligibility.

It's also really useful for getting a job

Occasionally there is a question whether someone gets 1 or 2 years.

Or if Ashton gets taken off scholarship

I would assume Ashton will be off scholarship because they need one for Bowie, who isn't listed on CW's scholarship chart. That still means someone has to go if they intend to sign another post player. I have a feeling Morris will be gone for some reason, no info just a gut feeling.

There are some exceptions. I know a gal who went to u of Iowa nursing yrs ago but partied her way out of that school and went juco--and received an AA degree. She passed boards and worked at UI HOSPITALS for a few yrs and got sick of it. So she opened her own home healthcare staffing agency from scratch, and now is a millionaire

There will be other scholarships freed up. It is rare that everyone stays.

JUCO much greater than UI? :-)

There are quite a few unknowns for next year's roster. Ernst - no news on health could be bad news. Morris - please don't pull a Hoiberg and leave at the last minute. Ashton - walkon to scholly to walkon? Naz - grad transfer or health. Cooke - happiness/health/adjustments. Lard - academics. Probably one more in hiding.

Carter- playing time? Who knows what the coaching staff has told Carter about future playing time here? If they don't see him ever getting much playing time they could be trying to help him find a new home? Who knows?

And no, I don't have any inside info, I'm just saying nobody has any idea what might be going on behind the scenes. Prohm said after we lost to Virginia that he needed to go out and bring in some BIGS for next season. BIGS, as in plural, not singular. So maybe Prohm already knows he has 2 open schollies to work with somehow?

The Naz grad transfer talk is just silly. Naz would not leave ISU for another school period.

To be fair everyone knows this is a possibility, and we have to know by I believe May 25th... so he can't just "leave at last minute" as a surprise. We all already know he is testing the NBA waters, he'd be an idiot not to.

If you're going to include Naz as a grad transfer you may as well include a meteorite striking the Sukup Complex as another potential issue.

I would bet my entire bank account on Naz not leaving. No way does he end up leaving. This was all stupid talk by ESPN trolls and now some people are too stupid and believe these trolls.

Goodman started it, of course he's also the one that predicted we would suck balls next year and he's also the one talking about Niang and Twinkies and thinking it's still funny

What is Goodman's problem with ISU? He's ripping on other people's appearance (Niang and twinkies), yet he looks like Peyton Manning's ugly brother. Maybe the media has changed, but it all seems like after that loss to UAB the media has gone from loving us to absolutely despising us. Either way, I think he's wrong about us next year and we wind up being pretty darn good and Goodman will be the first one to say "I knew Iowa State was going to be good this season.".
