RECRUITING: Madison Wise in town this weekend

Her final 8 (as of early Aug, at least):
Arkansas, Ball State, DePaul, Illinois, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan State and Pittsburgh.

There are good teams in there, but no absolute top-tier schools that make it harder to convince her to come here. Plus, she came here on an official visit. It's not like it's 50/50, but I think our chances are above-average within that group of eight.

I would doubt that she would go to Kentucky. I think the coach at Kentucky has had some issues lately. I know of two Indiana girls that decommitted and went elsewhere.

Surprisingly, I think Ball State could be competition. I have heard that they may be offering the PG off her high school team and trying to get them to come play together.

I hope she picks Iowa State. I think she would be a great fit for our program.

In Indiana some this week and heard the word from several college and top level high school coaches that the Wise girl is the most complete all around player in the Hoosier State and among the top handful or two in the nation. One coach mentioned that she could step in to the college scene right now and be an impact-type player with her ability to play various positions on offense while guarding positions 1-4, along with her intelligence and competitive drive. Sure hope we get to see her in a Cyclone uniform beginning next season!

With Wigginton committing to the men's team, it would be awesome if Madison Wise committed to the Iowa State women's team soon. Big time player

On wise's Twitter there are tweets and reTweets from Iowa State players AND recruits! Scott is there.

I read where Madison Wise scored a school record 42 points in a 60-51 win tonight. Based on twitter, it appears Billy may have been at the game. It would be great if she is a Cyclone next year.
