RECRUITING: Hans Brase sets official visit (COMMITS)

I'd like for ISU to land Brase but my un-scientific prediction is Georgia Tech, based on academics, conference and proximity to where he grew up (I don't know anything about what his PT could be at GT). Maybe he can be swayed by ISU's dire need for a stretch and reasonable assurances of playing time, if he's healthy and mobile.

That's what I've been thinking as well. Who do we turn to if Brase doesn't work out??

My own unscientific prediction is Iowa State, based on the fact that he's obviously passionate about basketball if, after two season ending knee operations, he still wants to keep it going. We have that kind of passion in our program and fan base, and a really fun system to play in.

Do we know for sure what his second knee injury was? All the reports I could find just say 'knee injury'

Man, I really wish we had Stu here for one more year if we don't land this guy. Stu would have gotten a nice amount of playing time LOL

With a degree from Princeton is he really sweating the academics in being a one year rental?

Valid point. I'm guessing that a big-name school in academics might mean something to him, like GT or Georgetown (maybe he'd finish the Master's on his own dime). Not that ISU isn't an important research university but, living in the Princeton area as I do, I'm trying to project a bit into the rarified air that those students breathe in the Ivy League. Frankly, my guess - and that's all it was - had more to do with playing in the ACC and being close to where he has roots.
