Wasn't Maker trying to reclassify to 15' though and came up short? I think he is a normal 2016 recruit that was trying to get ahead and be NBA eligable a year ahead of schedule. Now he is on normal pace. So it isn't really about time it's just about money now. If he left now without a year of college I think he would have to play in China for this year and next. So yeah he is leaving a couple million on the table.

I always thought he was a 2015 recruit which is why I asked. He's 18 now and will turn 19 before the end of his "senior" season, which is why I assumed he was always 2015.
 
SMU cheated? I'm shocked. Maybe that's why Carter came here. Postseason ban and ol Larry is suspended 30% of the games this year.

I think it's a wash. They bring different things and would likely not even be competing for minutes with each other. To me Long is more like a Chris Babb type player and can play the 2/3 depending on who we need to shut down. If anything I see Long and Babb competing for minutes along with Cooke and Norvell in years '16/17 and '17/18 playing similar roles (cgs and wings). I see them both getting at least good bench minutes in their first 2 years and starting roles the last 2. But wouldn't be suprised if either were 3 or 4 year starters and would expect both to be at least 2 year starters.

Agree! I love Long's Defense and Norvell's Offense, so I am a offensive guy so I will choose Norvell. I am happy with both

@phillipshoops: Gonzaga and Iowa State were in to see Simeon 2016 guard Zach Norvell today, per Rob Smith.
 
Safe to say Prohm is looking to add a CG to complete the class.

@MtZionPrep: HC Steve Prohm of Iowa St was in to see 6'3" 2016 CG Ceasar Dejesus today.
 
Looks like they visited him back on Sept 16th too.
Not finding much on this kid except for a hudl video.

Am I just an idiot or why can't I figure out what CG stands for?
