Recruit Lists v2.0

White to Georgia Tech and A. Cook to Nevada. What is going on?!

Is it guaranteed playing time or more like some 'connection' to the coach/recruiter/etc.? Obviously, White stayed in his home state. Guess we have to remember, that for recruits, they don't see playing in the Big12, Hilton Magic, & in front of awesome Cyclonenation the same way we do.

Both would be my guess. I think location played a pretty big factor with White as well.

Tyler Cook is visiting Arkansas this weekend. Could effect Curry's decision. He might possibly wait til the end of the week to commit to a school to see if Cook commits to Arkansas or not.

Hope Cook does commit there over the suckeyes. And again I am SMH in wonder as to why A cook choose Nevada over all the other schools? Does he want to be close to Vegas?

Reading between the lines, it seems A Cook's options may have been drying up. Why else commit when you haven't taken visits and have publicly stated you will not do so until spring?

Not sure why so many here are this high on him. I haven't been able to find any film of him that would form an opinion. Just some old highschool tape that shows a couple dunks.

Never underestimate the value of the "guaranteed by the HC to start for as long as they are there" in recruiting.

Now we'll see if it works for Fran with Tyler Cook.

We've already seen how it works with Fran with Woodbury. That's the only acceptable reason that dude started all last season over Olaseani.

Well they aren't all coming here. Like I said earlier, people are still in the mindset that we have all these scholly's to just dish out on forwards but the late Carter commitment changed everything for us in terms of that. Malou is pretty much the last piece imo for the front court for the 2016 class. I think we're going to play small in 2016 if Monte comes back:

Monte/Jackson/Burton/Thomas/Malou starting.

If Monte goes then we'll play somewhat more traditionally:

Jackson/Burton/Thomas/Malou/whoever else (Carter, Ernst, Young)

I sure as hell don't know what Prohm is thinking, but I would expect Monte to be back (and bless him if he shows he can score well enough to be drafted) and can pretty much guarantee that we will have more than 1 started taller than 6"4 next year...

Reno didnt seem like a great place but having the sierra nevada mnt range at your disposal would be fantastic. I can't assume what this guy is into but gambling, skiing, and hiking would be enough for me.

I understand the want to play right away, but ISU has TONS of playing time available and a great cast around you. Minnesota, Nevada, and Georgia Tech have all been average at best teams the last few years. Prohm has more tourney appearances than Pitino and at a non P5 school as well. I just don't understand wanting to play for boring and bad teams.

@DWolfsonKSTP: Amir said he told Pitino & Ben Johnson days ago. Upon hearing, Johnson screamed. Amir can surely see Eric Curry committing next. #gophers

Haha, come on, you really think a guy this good at basketball gives a rip about the scenery in the area??

Looks like we'll know Curry's destination Wednesday.

@RyanJamesMN: Rivals150 PF Eric Curry said he will make his college decision this Wednesday. His final three schools are Minnesota, Iowa St, and Arkansas

I personally don't feel great about our chances with Curry. That said, if we can somehow land Curry and Long, I'll be very excited about the athleticism potential of the future ISU teams. I'm already pretty excited about it.
