Recruit Lists v2.0

It appears as if the staff is starting to go after 2017 PGs after missing out on Strong

Still in the early stages but I have to say I've liked Prohm's recruiting so far. I always wanted ISU to get involved with players in the south/southeast and Prohm is doing that.

In talking about HS kids.
McDermott wasn't getting top ranked HS kids except for Brackins. To make it to the final four you need top end talent. It's just a fact. Look I'm not saying that that Jackson won't be good. He may be but I'm just saying I don't understand why they can't land higher ranked HS kids and I'm saying I think Prohm and TJ together might be able to change that.

DG, Ejim, WJ, and Ham were all high school recruits under Mac. He got talent, but his style of play stunk.!

Agreed and we really need to keep tj for the Midwest

We've got a good mix now with Prohm/TJ/Daniyal. Hoiberg didn't really have a territory so we've just an extra gun out there now with Prohm seeming to enjoy recruiting or at least be willing to hit the trail really hard.

He's fighting for his life because recruiting in this class and next will make or break him.

I don't disagree but I don't think we'll see anything different in terms of the effort on the recruiting from Prohm going forward. The guy has been running in SEC territory for awhile and I'm not saying we should cheat or will cheat but I think you'll see us going to the edge which is just par for the course these days.

I guess Tyler Cook wants to play basketball at a school who doesn't make the tournament and is the little brother of the state well is lost if he choose those ****s

Well one big advantage is that Fran can absolutely 100% guarantee him a starting spot with what he'll be competing with from the past 3 classes.

Sad part is, we could guarantee him a starting spot too, for 2016, if he's truly a 4-star top 100 kid.

Not necessarily, I really think that Prohm is focusing on Arlando Cook, Emmanuel Malou and Romello White and has Carter. Plus I'd be surprised if the staff doesn't try to add one more JC or immediate transfer post player with or with out TC. Cook would have an opportunity to earn a starting spot, but from watching him I am not sure he is physically ready to start in the Big 12 day one, like most HS post prospects outside the top 25-30. it isn't a given he'd be the starter. Iowa only has one scholarship available thus his track to playing time is pretty clear as of today.

Not even close to being able to guarantee a starting spot here. Granted, he probably would/could start, but it's not a "hey no matter what you'll be starting as long as youre here" situation. Especially if Malou commits and Prohm is serious with his transfer comments.
