I do think you're probably right though.
Really liked Horne. Had a big aau tourney this past summer where he was reportedly one of the top performers. Seemed to have the versatility guys like Georges and Ejim had.... So is life in the recruiting world.
Hoping for Malou, Kostas/A. Cook, Curry/White, and somehow Coffey.
Simpson would be solid as well but feel pg prospects will be there in the spring should Monte go pro... idk, Coffey is probably a pipe dream at this point.

I wonder if this means the staff feels good about their chances with Malou? Having Carter, Young, and potentially Malou would make a lot of sense if the staff truly did cool on Horne

I would be surprised if we cooled on Horne because we received a commitment from Young. Seems to me if Prohm thinks are chances are good with Malou, then we need a couple HS post players.
With two JUCO's on board, that fills most of our gaps for the 2016/17 season. With the remaining 5 scholarships (assuming Morris is gone), it seems to me Prohm is recruiting the core of our starting five for 2017/18 and beyond. For long term class balance it would be nice to land a solid group of HS players among the group:

Yeah this sentiment doesn't make much sense. You talk about 17-18 and beyond, yet exclude our HS commit, include 2 jucos who graduate in 17-18, exclude our committed juco, and include Tyler Cook who we haven't been able to get a visit from.

Recruiting services are bad on Jucos, read the juco specialty recruiting services if you want a better feel on Jucos. Haven't seen rankings but they seem very high on Malou.

I think we're pretty much out of the mix for Tyler. Also, both he and Arlando are spelled Cook, I believe.
