Recruit Lists v2.0

So with the Solomon Young and Jackson commitments where does that leave us for types of positions needed yet? I vaguely remember reading that we wanted a pg and a combo guard but cant recall the wants for front court players. If young projects as a SF/PF split that means we would be focusing in on PF/C types for two of the spots right?
I would say 2 more bigs 6'8 or taller. It looks like another PG and I feel once Jakolby Long visits in October he will commit! He would be the shooting guard! For a long time thought that position would be filled by Coffey

I don't know about that (since we are a top 10 team right now), but if what you say is right about our class, I think we enter 2016-17 as a top 25 team.

My guess is our class ends up being Simpson, Young, Jackson, Malou, and fingers crossed White is the 5th guy. Ashton likely gets a scholarship so my guess is we just get those 5. That would be a very good class in my opinion.
I think Ashton is worthy of a scolly but never know they might keep that spot open for a transfer

Malou will be back on campus for an official visit on Oct 31, for Homecoming, per Alex Halsted.

Got to think he commits, right?

That's just a couple weeks before the signing period. Hopefully he decides to end the saga and focus on ball.

Jackson, Malou & Arlando Cook would be a nice Juco trio to come in and contribute right away.

Add to the list. Going to be an interesting next 2 months.

@TravisHines21: Iowa State expecting visits from Eric Curry (2016, Ark.) and Jakolby Long (2016, Okla.) on Oct. 3, according to a source.

Eric Curry looks to be a great fit for an up tempo offense, he's long, and runs the court like Jameel.

Agreed. Also of note Coffey and Curry are visiting Minnesota together, and are priority for them. Not that I expect him to commit there this wknd but, with their friendship it's possible Amir could come down to Ames for Curry's visit too. Just speculating.

@DWolfsonKSTP It's not just a big week for #Gophers football. Hoops welcomes Amir Coffey & Little Rock F Eric Curry for official visits. The two friends.

That'd be an awesome package deal.

That would be nice to have Coffey come down and visit ISU with Curry. I still don't understand why Pitino got a raise and why people are acting like he's so great when he hasn't done anything with them yet. If Coffey wants playing time, he can get plenty of that at ISU on a much better team next season.

Best guesses by anybody on the last 4 'ships?

I'd be thrilled with...

Romello White (4/5)
Malou (3/4)
Darrion Strong (1/2)
Jeriah Horne (3/4)
Donovan Jackson (1/2)
Solomon Young (4)

Substitute Eric Curry for Horne or White and I am just as pleased.
