It would certainly be nice to get the ball rolling with a PG like Simpson.

Land him and Horne early this fall and then you've gone a long way toward chipping away at our big number of roster spots that need to be filled.

I personally think that's a possibility (or shortly after). The signs seem to be aligning. He cancelled his Purdue visit, and Xavier is making more PG offers.

We are definitely in the mix, IMO.

It's not a difficult concept. The less visits he takes to other schools the better. Delayed can become cancelled permanently if he really loves ISU and commits.

I'm not saying he won't take a visit to Purdue, but now there's a chance he never makes it there.

You answered your own question within your question. If this is his FIRST official visit then the others would have to be unofficial if he has already taken any "visits". Each recruit is allowed 5 official and, unless I'm mistaken, as many unofficial visits as they can fit in. The difference primarily being that recruits pay their own way on unofficial visits. Tyler Cook did this when he visited ISU last year during the season

Have held back so far but can no longer refrain! The speculation is a waste of time - saying you want a kid as an ISU commit means nothing if he cannot jell. The team will be what it is when Prohm gets who he wants - every kid mentioned here is a good baller - otherwise you wouldn't talk about them. Why did you open the recruiting thread if you don't care about recruiting? Recruiting is important. Not all of the guys we're talking about will pan out.
