Recruit Lists v2.0

I would post the tweet saying we watched Kobe King today but it's kind of just a given at this point. Looks like we've made him a priority.

I Don't Feel there are Any MUST Get Recruits

I would love the Cyclones to get Horne amd/or Simpson, but I don't consider any of the guys we are mentioned with as must gets. Where if we don't get a Horne, that is an indicator this staff can't recruit quality players.

What seems more critical is filling the needs that Prohm mentioned in his interview.

I would definitely not jump to the big conclusion that this staff can't recruit quality players based off missing one guy in their first year here.

They're not "must gets" but you have 6 and maybe as many as 7 scholarships to fill. That's half our roster.

You can probably count on 3, maybe 4 jucos/transfers. Any more than that is unrealistic unless you pick up some garbage.

So it will be important to build a foundation with 2-3 good HS kids. You don't want to land plan B/C type kids next spring.

It would appear to be shaping up like this, from a priority standpoint:

Point guard: Xavier Simpson/Tyson Carter/Quentin Jackson
"Ball handling guard": Lindy Waters/Eli Wright
Front Court #1: Jeriah Horne/Kostas/Micah Thomas
Front Court #2: Tyler Cook/Eric Curry
Front Court #3: Arlando Cook/Malou
Front Court #4: Marlon Jones/Juco TBD

Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I know this thread got railroaded, but I'm starting to think Tom Miles was a flash in the pan at Colorado State..

So, I suppose its safe to assume that Yakwe is no longer interested in us? Other assumption...I'm not going to enjoy watching him play for KU or St.Johns.

That ship sailed right around the time Fred cancelled his visit with Diallo due to a pretend storm

Hmm that's interesting. Wonder if this is a sign that Prohm doesn't expect Tsalmpouris back.

@ChrisMWilliams: Regarding Simeon Carter, sounds like it’s Iowa State, Oregon and Illinois in the mix. #Cyclones
