Recruit Lists v2.0

He will replace Niang in what aspect?
PF in 2016/17. Its a really good fit and only weak argument I've heard against it is his height. He's 250lbs of muscle, well above the rim, and has the skillset. I'm not worried about a few inches.

July is a big month for identifying new targets. The coaches will probably try and schedule some visits in August and push for some commits then.

This summer is flying by, I wonder if Prohm will use our great tailgating atmosphere to recruit? And if he does, I hope Fred left the keys to the golf car hanging in the office.

Replacing was probably a poor word choice, but I agree Burton would be fine there. We just don't have any Ejims, Kanes, or McKays to help him out with the rebounding yet. I'm hoping the guards play a bit bigger under Prohm.

Hehehe

Edit: not sure how to reply to someone else's post from my phone... halfway down the first page someone mentioned how they thought Percy Gibson would be a huge part of ISU's future success. Wanted to poke fun at the person.

Percy had the body and athleticism to be a good B12 player for us. He just lacked the mentality to work hard on the glass and defending.

He showed flashes his FR year but never took any steps forward.

I agree to an extent however think some of those flashes were due to playing alongside Royce who drew a lot of attention and knew how to pass the ball.

I think we are getting ahead of our selves predicting what Prohm will do with the roster construction in 16-17. We haven't seen his system or Noskowiak, Cooke or Burton's game in B12 play yet. In addition, he has to 5 open scholarships that will be filled over the next year. I fully expect the staff to attack the JC and immediate transfer market and get 3 contributing post players which will influence where and how much Burton is asked to play SF/PF.

Percy Gibson is one of the greatest passers in ISU history. I don't remember ever seeing him make a bad pass.

Royce was so amazing that he made Percy look like a quality Big 12 player.

I predict that TRANSFER U will be TRANSFER U next spring. It is tough to get immediately eligible transfers when you have your entire starting lineup set in a lot of peoples eyes. Next year, WHEN, Man Man comes back for his senior year (after going the draft combine and realizing he isn't a lottery pick), there will be bigs lining up to transfer in to play with Morris/Thomas/Cook/Burton! Just my prediction...

You know it's slow on the recruiting front when we bring back Percy Gibson references... Come on coaches, bring in somebody we can talk about! lol
