Malou had something going on with his eligibility a while back, if I am not mistaken. I don't know if it is a problem anymore. But I feel I remember hearing something about him with eligibility problems.
I hope we go after him. He seems pretty versatile for his size. And we need some height next year.
Yeah it was a problem coming out of ABCD Prep school. But once a player graduates from juco, they no longer have the eligibility problems
TJ follows him on Twitter FWIW and he doesn't just follow anyone so I'm guessing there is interest on our end there
Ah, makes sense. Just wanted to make sure we weren't pursuing a ineligible guy.
What do you mean when you say "as of recently"? As in the past month or two or since he's been at the JUCO? Just wondering.
Recognize everyone on there except for Skylar Mays. What's the deal with him? Did we offer & if so when?

At the beginning of the summer there was talk about our interest in him, then whenever I would look at his twitter or sources about his recruiting, it seemed we weren't recruiting him that heavily. But that could just be a poor job of noticing on my part. I just remember when he was tweeted at asking about his connection with Iowa State, his response was something along the lines of "I love Iowa State and would love to play for them and their coaching staff. They offered me, but I have not talked to them so much recently. I would love to continue to connect with them, etc., etc."
Not sure about our interest because there's not a whole lot out there on his recruitment, especially anything recent. But he does retweet a lot of ISU related stuff FWIW, so the interest is there from him.
We are in pretty good shape the next year with our guards. Obviously grab some to keep good there, but grab some transfer and/or juco forwards among others and we should still be in good shape.
Our forward situation really is what has me nervous for 2016. Losing Niang is big because you'll never find another Niang. Right now the only forwards that will be here in 2016 are Ernst and Georgios. That's why I'm super curious about what our top prospects are. It would be awesome if we could land a couple of early commitments given that we have 5 schollies available.
That being said, I'm going to ride the hype train for this year for the time being, i just like looking forward.
I must just be impatient.... tired of reading all these top & almost-top players getting offers and/or committing, and we have all these spots available for next year to offer playing time, yet not seeing much of ISU offering new top guys or on decent transfers. I apologize ahead of time.... and my lack of patience has nothing to do with my faith in the new staff...Just CRAVING recruiting excitement. Flame away.
Been feeling this too. Been tempted to ask for some reasonable expectations as we go through these three periods in july as to when we'll see what. Just figured as the last rounds up players will start to visit and commit.
July is a big month for identifying new targets. The coaches will probably try and schedule some visits in August and push for some commits then.
