Recruit Lists v2.0

I think you're also seeing kids that go to an "Addidas" school like KU for instance sign Addidas deals when they go pro (Nike and UA too).

what does the UnderArmour "deal" do for recruiting? How does that work per se?
I feel like we've talked about this before, but read up on Antonio Blakeney. Verbally committed to Louisville (adidas) then decommitted and signed with LSU (Nike).
Obviously different brands but it has been rumored his "people" encouraged him to look at Nike schools since his AAU team is sponsored by Nike.

A major part of the shoe affiliation is access to programs and coaches to the players. Nike schools, for example, invite their affiliated college program coaches to their AAU tourneys and give them "special" access to their AAU affiliates players. Thus college staff's for those programs are able to build better relationships with Nike's AAU coaches to pull their best players to their programs. ISU being a Nike school will be in force (Prohm) at Nike events (EYBL) though they may attend other events to watch players.

The shoe companies them self use it to show case their shoes/clothes and hope to build their own relationship with player to sign when they go pro. The 30 for 30 Sole Man shows how AAU shoe associations and how they influence players and the benefits of both.

Prom just offered and now Fran is all of a sudden sniffing around. Coincidence?

@JucoRecruiting: Iowa and Ole Miss are the latest schools to get involved with Arlando Cook from Connors State: http://t.co/QeuRZj7Ol2

I'm sure it's coincidence, but this happens a lot. It makes Fran look like a lazy person who's bad at evaluating talent and waits until the little brother makes an offer then tries to swoop in afterwards because he knows ISU can evaluate talent.

For those of you ready to blow up at me for calling ISU the "little brother", hear me out first:
Iowa is the big brother. They're the big brother that is going bald, getting fat, likely works in retail, and lives in their mom's basement.

Iowa State is the little brother that is strikingly handsome, has a nice job, drives a nice car, and gets all the muff he wants.

To be clear, I realize it is just a coincidence. Couldn't add a :jimlad: due to positing from the App and the tongue in cheek didn't come through. Cook is going to get a lot of attention and will be fielding a lot of offers over the summer, though I do think ISU is sitting well in his recruitment at this point.

Anybody with inside info have any idea whether we contacted transfer Kyle Washington from NCState or not? He's deciding today between Marquette, Cincinnati, and Providence. Was just curious as he is a stretch big and we had recruited him initially. Would have been a good sit-out transfer 'possibly'. Wondering if we: a. didn't show interest ,
b. he didn't show interest , or c. mutually showed interest but were eliminated due to Hoiberg departure ?
