Recruit Lists v2.0

@AlexHalsted: Cook has six offers: Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Houston, LSU and Tulsa. Wants to visit Iowa State with an official.

Anybody know anything about John Brown? Looks like he's a graduate transfer from High Point that would be immediately eligible and he averaged 19 points/game for them last year. New Assistant to Prohm Neill Berry was the assistant at High Point last year and would have obvious ties to him. Jay Bilas called him the best dunker in basketball last season for whatever that's worth.

That would be a terrific addition

It's worth about 2 points per dunk from what I'm told. :jimlad:

Brown and Burton on the same team? Dunk City.

From watching his videos, it looks like forces a lot of contact on post moves... Love players who do that, should help get opposing posts in foul trouble.

Where are you seeing that he is transferring?

So we are recruiting Tyler Cook and Arlando Cook, both out of St Louis. Both power forwards. Are they brothers?

I had never even heard of High Point until we added Berry to the staff. Looks like they were #126 in KenPom last year, 130 on ESPN BPI, and 87 on RPI. So they had a respectable team, I guess. I couldn't find any articles saying he had announced plans to transfer, but it might still be an option:

My thought, Simpson already knew both of those guys were gone. We still landed in his top 6. We are for sure the most currently successful school on that list. There is still interest there.

Where are you seeing that he is transferring?

He was mentioned as a possibility on Cyclone Report. I can't find anything super concrete that he's 'available', but I think it could be one of those things that happen quickly.

Every article says he indicated that he wanted to leave to go pro after this season and didn't after graduating. Google 'John Brown High Point transfer' and that's all there is about him. He's listed as a potential transfer on a few articles for places including Louisville since he can do grad school and have another year of eligibility. Think we'd be a great spot for him.
