Recruit Lists v2.0

If we can pull in Bridges, Coffey and Monk in 2016 that would be the perfect way to restock with all we will be losing. Go get'em Fred!

I fail to understand how Ames is a bad city. That's their go -to. Is it Minneapolis? No. But is it Waco? No.

I've always kinda wondered this too. People claim there is nothing to do, and it always makes me curious, what exactly is there to do in Minneapolis, that you can't do in Ames, that is so appealing? I'm genuinely curious.

That's a stupid question. It's a metro area with more than 3.5 Million people (more than the entire state of Iowa), 4 Pro sports teams, one of the nations most budding restaurant scenes, and more music than you can shake a stick at.

With that said, it's not a college town. The U doesn't even feel like a college, and people around here really don't care that much about it. Great school, boring college experience. Iowa State blows away Minnesota in that aspect.

Don't forget that most of UMN's facilities feel like they're older than Ames itself.

This. It's pretty easy to see why Gopher fans have a high opinion of their locale. The Twin Cities are a fun place with a lot more activities and attractions than a small city like Ames. That said, that scene is not for everyone, and a small town has its own perks.

Best decision I ever made was going 3 hrs down 35 to ISU. I didn't know much about ISU until I visited my Jr year in HS and immediately it became my favorite. I fell in love with the campus and the college experience in Ames. I'd do it again and again if I could.

With that said, I don't want to live anywhere else than Minneapolis. I love my home state and I love Minneapolis.
