Minnesota is being predicted as last place in the big 10 next year. They need players and macura has stated several times he wants to play right away. That is probably the best place for someone who wants minutes. If he wants to play for a winner and a guy that can take his style to the next level. He would simply commit right now to ISU.

i think Jared Terrell eliminated us, and therefore so did AMA. Good luck to him in college. Hopefully he has a change of heart.

From what I can tell, Macura is just as good or a better prospect than Matt Thomas so I wouldn't discount his chances of being an immediate starter at ISU. I also think he will need a quasi=promise from Fred that ISU will stop recruiting Vaughn if he would sign this fall. If I;m in Fred's shoes and that scenario unfolds, I lock up Macura this fall instead of rolling the dice on Vaughn next spring, especially if Vaughn is a likely one-and-done.

Do you really think a player would request such a thing? Idk. As for Fred, I wouldn't want to make that decision.

So, since we are out on AMA, what's our status on a guy like Quadri Moore?? Looks like KU is on his list...have we been recruiting this kid hard? We're left with Travis, JJ, and Cunningham.... I'd like another solid name on this list to increase our chances of landing a PF...

What makes you think that macura is on on par with Thomas? I see him as more on par with SDW. Just curious what your opinion is based on.
 
What about Sean O'Mara as far as bigs go? Are we still pursuing the big kid from Illinois?

No. He put out a new list last week and we weren't on it. Losing AMA was rough, and it's not going to be easy if we don't land Travis or Johnson or Cunningham. With Johnson visiting Michigan next week, it looks like we are in trouble with them as well.
 
If we miss on JJ we'll probably have to snag a transfer or Juco or two. We don't really have many other options besides him and Travis
 
The juco crop of big men is supposed to be pretty strong if it comes to that.
