Recruit Lists v2.0

So since Jackson committed Simpson, Strong and Bone all committed to other schools. Since Young and Malou committed White committed to another school and A. Cook cut us. Rough.

Sign me up for A. Cook. Basketball is becoming a year-to-year battle more than a 4-year development program (see Fran's mediocrity). You go after the best players you can and do it again the next season. Of course you have to carry some clout to win with that strategy. Hoiberg gave us the momentum, and Prohm is off to a good start.

That said, I would be thrilled with a Curry commit as well, but if given a choice, prefer Cook.

Welp. Sorry about that, guys.

It looks like some of these players are seeing our recent commitments as decreased playing time. That's the only reasonable explanation for Cook considering freakin' Nevada over ISU. There are plenty of minutes to be had despite our recent commits.

Do we start worrying about trying to lure southern boys to the unfamiliar North? That southern culture may be tough to overcome as it seems it fosters a greater sense of loyalty to home. That could just be a stereotype. Just curious and bored.

Seriously WTF. ****. (Arlando Cook)

That's been a concern of mine from the start.

It will always be important to keep some Midwest ties and Mid south like Missouri Oklahoma etc.

Convincing guys from the Deep South will be very hard. If you can get one Dixie recruit each year that would be as good as you can expect.

Cultural differences and the weather are two hurdles that we will always fight with those kids.

Or southern boy eliminates us after a commitment from a highly rated player at a similar position. Casting a wide net is fine by me.

Someone needs to post on here Arkansas position openings and position needs still. It's weird how Curry and A Cook both are on high on Arkansas since they play same position, right? So please can someone post that info? I feel Curry is a hidden gem

This, feels the landing of Malou could make it tough to get PF types. Might need a true center worse with less overlap.

Not recruiting at all but didn't want to start a new thread. Anyone know much about the Paul Shirley visit with the basketball team this weekend? Just wondering what the gist of it is. Always brings back the blarge call when I see anything pertaining to him.
