This is interesting, he was a top 60 player as a Sophmore but fell down the rankings as a senior. I could see him as a potential fall back recruit to monitor for next year if he is a late bloomer and Prohm doesn't add a HS PG or Monte goes Pro and the staff wants a JC PG to start next year.
I also saw that Minnesota is letting Jarvis Johnson explore his options and transfer to another program to play. Obvious he is familiar with ISU due to his family connection and close to home, though the staff would have to clear his health to let him play. Could be another situation to monitor.
I wondered about Jarvis too when I read that. But wouldn't it be dicey to allow a kid to play due to safety concerns that another university couldn't?
Having TJ who has a history of success recruiting Wisconsin kids to Ames (Scotty, MattyIce, NN, McKay, and Deonte) eases my concerns. We'll also see how the Badgers perform recruiting wise without Bo Ryan moving forward.
Way to early in KK's recruitment to be naming favorites IMO.
Johnson played with his pacemaker throughout High School and the U of M was knew about the situation prior to him committing. It was a suprise that he wasn't cleared by their doctors late, thus why he is exploring his options.
Obvious the ISU doctors and Jarvis family would need be comfortable to clear him to play. That is can only be answered by Prohm, thuough with all the PG offers (Xavier Simpson priority 1) the staff has already they may not even want to bother with the situation.
Kobe might want to go up tempo. Wisconsin is scoring more points now but still not exactly up tempo. Just efficiant

I caught about a minute in the car one day, but didn't E60 do a story on him that alluded to several other NCAA players playing with the same condition? It seemed like they were hinting that it wasn't really as dire as it seemed. It seems like it should be up the kid and his doctors if he wants to play, not the University.
If that's the case, and his health is not compromised........I say recruit him and he could be Monte's backup and mentee this year. He could join the great Cyclone nation and be with his sister. He'd surely get a waiver.
Either Zabo or Johnson could end up fall back options after next year given a year to prove themselves. I would guess the staff will be in monitoring their situations. Obviously if X Simpsons or one of the CC PG commits to Prohm I would wouldn't expect any offers to be extended to another PG.
It seems to me like Prohm's staff doesn't leak as much information to the press as Fred's.
Assuming nothing you can link to for confirmation on this?
Hines or CW will hopefully put something out this weekend if true.
