I don't see us listed on Cassius Winston either, however....ESPN gonna ESPN when it comes to recruiting.

Lol. I'm glad they have Iowa locked down. Means that we don't even have the chance to make a stupid mistake of just locking down the top Iowa kids just because people think that you have to lock down the state to be good.

An example that being the coach at ISU will open some doors to players who previously wouldn't have reciprocated to Murray State love.

Coffey was a Hoiberg guy. I would think that it would be worth it for Prohm to try and build a relationship with him, but I kind of doubt he'll be in play for us.

Mcdermott landed Diante Garret within 3 days of taking the coaching job. Then landed Corey Macintosh like 3 days later. Hopefully Prohm can get us someone quick and start building momentum.

I don't think there is anything official, but that Wolfson guy said if Fred left he wouldn't be coming to ISU.

Coffee and his Dad were smitten with Fred thus I am sure his interest in ISU was lessened. I would hope that he would be open to at least talking with Coach Prohm before cutting ISU from his list after all from style and attitude it is "hoibergian". Bridges kept ISU on his list so until we get word that Amir has moved on I still have hope though tempered.

Coffey is from Minnesota and our competition is Marquette, Minny, and Baylor? Not sure Fred leaving means we are out if those are his top 4. We would still make the most sense out of that group IMO, especially if Prohm and Small (assumption) can get the ball rolling early.

If current staff isn't retained you can scratch Bridges and Coffey and any other guy that was being recruited off the list. They would have no connection with the current staff and recruiting is all about building relationships.
If that happens I would imagine you might see them go after some JUCO bigs for next year and maybe some transfers. They still need to try and get another big for this year. Especially if GT isn't coming back.
It will be interesting to see what happens
