Recruit Lists v2.0

Anybody notice Abdelmassih is following Kostas Antetokounmpo on twitter now? Find your own players, Matt. I'm annoyed by it but I guess he's doing his job.

I think KA may be a strange case because Milwaukee isn't home to him, and he could probably see his brothers in NYC quite a bit. FWIW, I doubt Matt really wants to recruit the Midwest much unless he wants to get away from his wife or fiancée, whatever it is.

That being said, you should probably tweet Matt and tell him to stop it.

I will never tweet at MA again. I only tweet at Cyclones. :twitcy:

To be fair....We all said the same thing last year when Marble left. They still made it, surprisingly so. Weak Big 10, lucky breaks, or whatever, but they made it.

But that is the point. The big had 2 good regular season teams, and Michigan state got hot and had an excellent draw.

Two years ago the conference was loaded. This past year's iowa team would have been a better version of Penn state.

Just because the truth isn't pc, it doesn't make it any less truthful

Maybe not the best comparison

IMO, Fran is in no danger of losing his job. I don't think he's recruited the best, but he still has some talent to work with. I see him hovering between #4-8 basically every year. That will have you on the bubble or in most years.

It helps to be in a 14 team league that has been watered down a little because you play an overall weaker conference schedule.

Also, it's fine by me if they keep Fran in place. If they make a coaching change, one of these times they will get lucky and make a great hire.

I'd be extremely upset if Fran got fired

Frans got two more years minimum IMO, and they would have to tank the next two years for him to only get that. I dont think he is going anywhere unless he takes another job.

People think the petition to get Fred to commit to ISU was impressive, wait until the "Keep Coach Fran" petition goes around.

2016 Norman North (OK) G Lindy Waters III has received an offer from Iowa State. (HT @OklahomaWizards) http://verbalcommits.com/players/lindy-waters-iii …

Big Boys are starting to take notice of Lindy appeartly. Must have had an impressive early AAU season.

Per his father, other recent offers for SG Lindy Waters include Cincinnati, Harvard, Yale, George Mason, Oklahoma State and Houston.

Get outta here with actually bball news. We all need to be freaking out about Fred leaving.

In all seriousness though that's good and bad. Means he is a stud and also means that all the big boys are going to go after him. Hopefully we can get him!

First big school offer (I think first offer over-all) for Kostas. That will mean something. Not to mention, Otz will be on him till the day he signs (hell, maybe Giorgios too). Plenty of playing time come 2016, and the fact he will most likely want to play immediately.

I feel pretty good about him.
