Recruit Lists v2.0

The only thing that is a bit concerning to me is that he decommited from Baylor because they also recruited a few other similar guys to him at his position which he'd have to compete with for playing time, and "he thought he would have a chance to play next year". With that said, while we don't immediately have any other shooting guards in this class to compete with, if what he is looking for in a school is the best chance for immediate playing time, I'd say there are greater chances of that at some of those other schools than here. Lets just hope Matt can convince him there is enough weight to all the other benefits of playing at ISU.

Didn't he have to reclassify from a 2014 recruit to a 2015 recruit? If so, not concerned at all.

Doubt it would be too tough of sell with BDJ leaving and his main competition being Long and Thomas. Good recruits won't be too fearful of those two.

There are going to be very few top-15 caliber teams where he would waltz into a starting spot. At least we score in droves and often play 2 wing/SG at a time.

Sure but it's not like he is an elite recruit kid. He is ranked #174 composite on 247.
We have at least 3 or 4 shooting guards on par with that or much better with 3/4 having all played major roles (Cooke,Long,Thomas) only SDW (ranked #124 for 2012) I would think he would feel confident about. Seems to be a wing though so more the Nader hogue BDJ role...at least that's how I would sell it with 2 of those 3 leaving.

Both Fred and Abdelmassih are following him on the twitter. That's one of the first clues for me to know if we're serious about a recruit or not.

I think Matt started following him as soon as he announced he was reclassifying.

ESPN had him as a 4-star. He would be that big, athletic guard, as well as adding some class balance.

Miles Bridges was absolutely dominant this weekend. Picked up a Louisville offer and Kentucky watched him all weekend. I think he's my most wanted recruit right now, even more than Diallo.

He's going to be a game changer and we need to keep that Michigan/Flint pipeline going.

I have to go with Diallo just because he's going to make a decision first and he'll be here next year.

Roundup: Battle to Visit UConn; Calipari, Hoiberg, Anderson Watch Tatum, Monk; Bridges Adds Louisville Offer http://zagsblog.com/articles/recruiting-roundup-battle-to-visit-uconn-bridges-adds-louisville-offer/ …

Article says Hoiberg was in Arkansas to watch Malik Monk on Saturday night as "The 6-4 Monk went for 45 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block". Kentucky's coaches and Tubby Smith were there for his game. Although I think Kentucky was probably there to watch Jayson Tatum who plays for the team that lost to Monks. He's a top 5 player and holds a UK offer.

Whats this possibly crap lol

Hopefully not the same "possibly" getting a visit from Chris Clarke we read way back when. One of these days, we're gonna get us one of these elite recruits that blow up just in time for the UK's of the world....aren't we? Can't wait.

MSU and UM are in his backyard and during Xmas a trip to ISU won't be very exciting...nothing going on. Unless he swings out for the Ok. State game but even then the students won't be back. I'd rather him visit for a big game, frankly, and on his own dime I don't want him spending money for nothing.

Remember MB is a 2016 recruit thus these visits won't be official anyways. Him taking in UofM and MSU games isn't suprising due to proximity over a break. Miles taking the time to travel to ISU is more telling would indicate his affection for the program. Getting face time with Fred and comfortable with the team as many time as possible is important to get him away from his home state. He can take a later official visit for a "big" game if ISU stays in his top 5.

That's why I won't be surprised if he passes on an Xmas trip. Not because he doesn't like ISU but because it's a long trip without much bang. If he does come it's very encouraging.
