I'm sure just about everybody was hoping they'd go against the trend, but not this time. Hopefully Vaughn will deny the blue bloods and come to ISU

Sick of this Kentucky thing. Don't these kids understand that they will have no legacy at kentucky unless they are top 3 draft choices? Go to a different school and you become a legend. Just ask Harrison Barnes how it worked out at UNC. he would have been a legend at ISU and remembered forever. Now, he is a footnote and an underachiever at UNC.

If you had 1 year to play college ball, would you rather want to go to the place that has the best chance to win a national championship, or be the star on a team that makes the NCAA tournament, but only gets to the Sweet 16?

What if it's not about the legend status, and more about the dinero?

A. I would try and become a legend (Like Royce). Also, if you have the talent, one year at Iowa State will earn you as much as one year at Kentucky. Players are not great because they play for calipari. They are great because they are great. Anthony Davis would have been the first pick of the draft weather he played at Iowa State, Drake, or Kentucky.

Davis won a national championship at UK. I'm not sure that you have a very strong argument.

I agree. He was projected to be a first round pick all year. Didn't matter whether They won the natty championship or not. Look at derrick rose and kyrie erving. Weber state Made it to the cit tournament last year and Lillard got drafted 5th or something right around there. It doesn't matter where your from

So you would rather be the star on a moderate team than be a star on the team that won the national championship?

Interesting debate but make a new thread please lets keep this on track for those who appreciate it's true purpose.

It's a thread about recruiting. Their debate relates to the mentality of recruiting. If you haven't noticed ISU recruiting is in a slow period right now. When info comes in at a regular pace people will be talking about ISU recruiting.

You can't tell me that being the sixth man on Kentucky's team last year, (that got drafted) is better than being a stud on any other team.

Just get tired of expecting info when I open this thread I guess.
