As far as little things many of you won't care about, i have a few.

1. Reid Travis followed me on twitter and was very excited about Royce getting drafted and posted a picture of him and Royce. (Also kinda looks like him IMO)

2. Rashad Vaughn RT'd me about being in Ames for 4th of July followed by a #cyclONEnation

3. Abdul Malik-Abu RT'd me about him and Jared Terrell being deadly in college also followed by a #cyclONEnation.

4. Rashad Vaughn congratulated Royce via twitter, as did Andre Wallace.

The point of this well pointless info is that Royce was not only big for winning, helping jumpstart our program, but also is potentially helping ISU catch recruits eyes.

Im ready for the inevitable heckling. Im only 17 gimme a break.

Great post! Thanks for the information. That's good stuff showing that they really are paying attention.

Corrected the link above, it went to the wrong post!

Better check it out now!

Excellent Review! Glad to hear we are still recruiting Lancona. At the moment, our recruitment of '13 post players is mysterious. Doesn't seem to be much continuity - as in players we start recruiting, and continue recruiting.

Terrell and Malik Abu are two I'm really watching in the '14 class. They both might need up being out-of-our league (so to speak), but for the moment, they seem to be rising stars, and within reach of a program like ours.

That said, it's hard to get too focused on the '14 class, with as many as four scholarships for '13 yet to fill.

I'm in favor of these updates from sportsfreak, from time-to-time. No problems with a bit of levity. Well done.

Here you go, for your Monday morning reading pleasure: Recruit Lists Recruiting Round-Up 7/2

Also threw in a video from this weekend to get you through the Monday morning too!

I just don't understand why there are so many prospects for the 2014 class. If we fill all of our 2013 scholarships we will only have 2 scholarships to give for the 2014 class. The more i think about it the more i think that we aren't going to fill all our scholarships for 2013 and we are going to have right around 4 scholarships to give for the 2014 class.

Newsflash:This is college basketball. Not every player stays with the same school for four years anymore.

Of course we are recruiting a lot of players for 2014, its TWO years away! More than likely, even if we fill all of our scholarships for 2013, we will have more than two to give away in 2014. I could see Fred leaving one scholarship open, but there's no way that more than one will get left open.

I'm guessing we'll leave one open when the list of transfers comes available. The list this year was huge and I expect the same next year.

I find it reassuring that we are recruiting so hard for the future. I hope that down the road we won't have 6 scholarships to fill in 1 class, but since that is the case I'm glad we are taking a pro-active approach toward the future.

Would you rather get someone just to fill a scholy in '13 or a potential starter in '14?

Attrition will happen. We could very well bank one scholarship as well, but I'd be surprised if the number of open spots isn't more like 4 than it is 2 when 2014 rolls around.

The 2014 Class seems to be loaded especially around the midwest. So having 3-4 scholarships to fill for that class would be okay with me.

How many available scholarships does Iowa State have for the 2013-14 season, including those already accepted, like by Matt Thomas?

Stone. Keith Stone.

Im not sure how this question was meant to be asked, but my twitter name is TigerTweets23. I do RT alot of recruiting info, but RecruitLists pretty much has it covered.

I asked it like "How does he get all these people to follow/RT him? These people are one step below famous!"
