Army has operated as an independent program since the 2004 season
Army officially in the AAC in 2024 as football only members. The Army-Navy game will retain its usual date (week after conference championships), and not be considered a conference game so it has no effect on conference standings.

Oregon State, Washington State say Pac-12's actions show departing schools should not run conference
Oregon State and Washington State claim the actions of the Pac-12 and Commissioner George Kliavkoff in response to members announcing their intent to leave the conference show those departing schools relinquished their rights to decide the long-term future of the league.
Swaim is the worst "source" out there and makes stuff up non-stop.
It is pretty silly but there were plenty of "look how many future Big 12 teams are ranked" posts last year.
I do enjoy the tongue in cheek “_____ Legend” jokes with some former greats in the new conferences. B1G legend Reggie Bush, SEC legend Colt McCoy, ACC legend Andrew Luck, that type of thing

Fully confident it was a independent decision by ASU and BY didn't make a call.
That guy has been a disaster for that university, amazing he held on this long.

I couldn't find anything written about how the rules changed for not allowing departing members to vote between the point at which CU left and the other 7 left. What happened to adherence to the bylaws? And BTW, with the departing schools departing for greener pastures, I thought they might be more collegial towards OSU and WSU on their way out the door.
What was left was decisions by the court(s) and thankfully OSU and WSU are off to a good start in getting financial benefits that will help them going forward.
Now it's on WSU and OSU to not overstep things.
