Went through colorados board earlier today. Feels like half of their posters are still on the denial phase, thinking they need to be in one of the Top 2 conferences even though reality says their chances are close to zero. About a quarter of them seem to think PAC and Big XII should merge, but XII members have zero reason to do that, then the other quarter of them have realized that joining the XII is their best option.

It was my understanding that the ACC GOR can be opened for negotiation if new members were brought in. If that's the case, then I doubt WV would be invited into the ACC because this would allow Clemson and other schools to jump to other conferences.
Well we’ve been there so it’s understandable. Hell, part of this board (hopefully shrinking) still thinks a BIG invite is coming.

I think they would just open up negotiations on a media contract, which is separate from the GoR.
Yeah its a catch 22 I think for them. If they try to add, then they open the flood gates for the top to leave with no protections. If they do nothing they either risk falling behind everyone, and/or their teams finding any other way for themselves to get out.
What will happen to the ACC if they stay with their current situation until 2036, is everyone, even the Big 12 will be so far ahead that they will be in no longer relevant.
My feeling is the if that happens the ACC will be getting, 1/3 - 1/4 what the B1G and SEC are getting by 2036 if even that much. The Big 12 should still be in the 1/2 - 3/4 range. And when you are talking about the level of say 150-200M per school by 2036, for the SEC and B1G, 100-125M for Big 12, and just 50-60M for the ACC they will be closer to G5 than the top 2 conferences.
That would put schools like Clemson and FSU so far behind that they may no longer be candidates for the top 2 conferences. I dont know if the ACC can afford to wait it out. They are really in a bad spot.

The ones I found are poor compared to CF, but just search the team name and Message Board. I did find out that the Arizona State president graduated from Iowa State.
Agreed. Colorados was kind of busy, but just got through of of Utah’s board and their thread about USC/UCLA leaving had like 180 posts.
It appears every fan base has a very high perception of their school. I almost want the Big 12 to announce they are entering discussions with Oregon and Washington just to make schools like Utah and Colorado realize how screwed they are.

One of my favorite posts was from a North Carolina board. He favored going to the Big 10 and then said that Ohio State and Penn State would be tough, but listed the easy victories in football and he put EIU in the same category with Rutgers and Maryland.
At what point does Alabama and Georgia form a new conference with ESPN and pick 8 more schools of their choice. Then Michigan and Ohio State will do the same with Fox. It is possible that the blue bloods will view many of their conference brothers as mooches that are holding them back financially. Recent events prove there is no loyalty.
