If they aren't stopping at 16, gotta assume they'll be making moves for Oregon, Washington and maybe Stanford. No way they don't make one more pitch to Notre Dame, as well, and given the way this is suddenly barreling toward two super conferences, if that pitch was ever going to work, this would be it.

I'm guessing Clemson, FSU, Miami and Ok. St. to the SEC and Virginia, UNC, Oregon and then if ND says no again, probably either Georgia Tech or Stanford to the Big 10.

I wonder if Florida would support FSU and Miami to the SEC. That stuff used to matter but idk anymore.

If the B1G is looking to add two more from out west it'll get real interesting... I see Oregon, Washington, and Stanford, and only two spots.

Washington is the odd one out there. Talk about being on an island.

Stanford is the academic balm to soothe the red ass that some of those presidents are going to develop though Stanford is just arrogant enough to say F you and go Ivy.

They'd probably be the only current SEC school opposed to it, though. So I doubt it would matter.

I don't think it's silly at all. They left for cultural fit, but now they can come back with 3 other schools that are closer culturally than the old Big 12

Guess that shows how much people think of MSU for football about the same as you do with TCU.

This news is just the first blow for the pac 12. It'll soften up the rest of the schools to make moves. The weird thing about the big 12 stuff last year is, not having more schools the SEC wanted helped unify the leftovers and kept the league alive. We were also able to move quick bc we had been researching expansion for years.

The pac would likely be caught even more with their pants down than the big 12. Schools with options are going to be more jumpy, leaving their leftovers with more uncertainty. They are also last to pick from expansion candidates. If any g5 were worth taking, they'd be in the big 12. There may be a couple options but nothing like the 3 or 4 teams they'll need.

I guess the assumption is the Atlanta TV market. But Atlanta is UGA and then probably Auburn. GT had flashes of success in early 2000’s-10’s for hoops and football but now not so much.

Yep, it is now or never for ND. I think the Big 10 needs to be patient with their next move. ND is now natural rivals with USC, Michigan, MSU, Purdue, Indiana, and have had a past with PSU and OSU. It just makes so much sense, but that is why it probably won't happen.

Depends what the ACC future looks like. If the big ten could get UNC and ND they would do it in a heartbeat

The PAC's media rights do expire in 24 IIRC.

SC and UCLA bolting would greatly benefit the B12.

Time will tell. Do you know the story of the Zenmaster and the little boy?

I might have agreed with you pre-Campbell. I think he's shown us we can compete with anybody.

That and we started getting good a few years after we finally got an equal seat at the table in the big 12 in terms of revenue sharing.

I don't think we're getting a big 10 invite, but so long as revenue sharing remained equal I think we'd do just fine there.

Haven’t read any of this thread, but the first school the Big 12 should call is Oregon IMO.

If we add Oregon, the conference isn’t going anywhere. They provide a ton of stability.

UNC, Virginia, ND and Stanford would be my dream to get to 20.
