Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

If you want a laugh, here is a Pac 12 viewpoint that the CW or Ion are a better option for the Pac 12.

My prediction if the Pac 12 signs with either - Arizona, Colorado et. al. are bolting two seconds later.

Locked on Pac 12

Late Friday News dump. Not a great PAC 12 look…

I doubt those guys would sue if they didn't have something to prove they told Scott about it. P12 can certainly throw his corpse under the bus (again), but they are gonna owe those guys some money. Just one more distraction and one more kick to the stones, when they don't really need either.

If and when the obituary for the P12 is written, Larry Scott is going to take the rap as the killer.

Not to nitpick, because I understand what you are saying, but if that was Colorado and Arizona’s perspective they wouldn’t sign the deal and then leave. They would just leave.

It’s kind of why some of this discussion is generated content. If there was a deal with CW or Ion, none of them would go for it. I wouldn’t want Iowa State to do it either.

If the P12 dissolves, is it in solvency? And, if so, I suspect a lawsuit would be at the bottom of their settlements. So, get the lawsuit lined up now cause if the P12 disappears, so does its money.

If Prime doesn't turn things around he'll be the laughing stock of college football. He's brougt so much attention to himself, networks will cover CU and Prime like a reality TV show.

Either way it will be a spectacle. ESPN guarantees that.

They would still have Pac12 Network assets when they dissolve. That has been part of Pac12's selling point to Apple/Amazon/CW/Ion- no need to invest in production equipment.

I can understand their lawsuit to resurrect their reputations- especially if their accusations against Scott and Kliavkoff are true.

But these are E-suite guys. Not mid-level management types. If Scott told them to do something they viewed as unethical back in 2017- they should have updated their resumes and found new jobs!!

If I'm a jury, I find with the plaintiffs but award them $1.

Give them $20 so they can have a McDonalds Happy Meal (it is Silicon Valley after all - nothing is cheap there)

I agree. If the PAC says "this is the deal" anyone with a pulse says "no thanks".

Obviously Pac schools are still in a wait and see mode depending on what Kliavkoff can produce. But I thought it was interesting that SDSU AD gave vague indications here:

It’s almost as though the PAC-12 plans are not as sure as certain as west coast journalists and fans thought it was.
