I see that the Big 10 is using the magnifying glass on the ant hill, and then is annoyed when the ants get flustered and seem desperate to survive.
Big Ten has showed zero reason on field why they deserve more bids than current b12 and acc.
It’s basically buying spots and hoping people ignore the soft middle and weak bottom.
SEC actually merits having a bunch of teams in.
If somehow the Pac-9 can convince Oregon and Washington to sign anything right now, what buyout for leaving the league would they actually agree to?

It’s gotta be a less than 5% chance Washington and Oregon agree to any kind of GOR with the Apple deal that’s on the table. Why would they? Why would they sign away their chance at $31 million in the B12 or upwards of $35 million in the B1G for a number of years in exchange for … what? Conference loyalty?
It's not that the Big 10 needs them or doesn't need them, they don't want the Big 12 to have them. The Big 12 getting UO and UW could impact negotiations for the better the next time the Big 12 has to get a new media deal. It's amazing how well the Big 10 has been able to control the narrative of them being good guys.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think the Big 12 will ever come close to getting Big 10 money, but I think the Big 10 looks at it as every penny the Big 12 gets is a penny they could have had for themselves.
If Oregon/Washington to the B1G is the next domino, why would ESPN/FOX want to pay full pro rata for Arizona, ASU, or Utah? They would have no other options; a 75% share for the life of this TV deal would still be their best course and would save FOX/ESPN like $20M a year.
They could theoretically pay a price for waiting if the Big 12 and its media partners decide to press an advantage.

I heard Big 10 is considering taking Oregon and Washington and then trading Iowa, Nebraska and Northwestern to the PAC 12 for Oregon State and Washington State. PAC 12 is hiring Barta to sell Iowa’s apple subscriptions.
If I was Washington State, Oregon State, or any other school left behind, I'd be suing ESPN< Fox, and the rest of the networks for collusion, restraint of trade, and anything else I could fit on the paper. And a lot of the rest of us would be cheering them on. As for the B1G, they didn't need to do this. They did it because they're evil.
That would be a wild time when conferences could trade teams like the pros trade players.
ESPN has agreed to pro rat for 15 and 16 at $20 million. Fox hasn’t agreed to $11.7 million. Or maybe they have. BY knows.
