Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Coming to America moment for a UCF fan welcoming Colorado to the Big 12.

There’s some gems in there

Feels a lot like his tweet prior to CU leaving.

Wording by Thamel very intentional. Probably not a done deal but pretty close with Arizona.

Surprised no mention of ASU. They may go down with the ship or the Big 12 just can’t come up with the extra dollars

The first reply is golden…

I mean… it already is all streaming.
I think he's using streaming to indicate subscription based service to watch games.

He's probably right, but the Apple deal is 5-10 years early and Pac12 is wrong conference to use as test case. In part because it is only a 10 team/5 game conference. In 2024 a streamer could televise 50-60% of a conferences games, but not 100%. Plus the Pac12 isn't know for hardcore fans.

Hah! Same here, I live in suburban KC, the fireworks for an entire week, every night, surrounding the 4th, it's the biggest PITA with living here. Overall a huge thumbs up, but if I could take vacation and get away that week each year, I would.
Dude I live an hour west of you. The fireworks are really stupid $hit.

Read as “B1G is trying to stir up a realignment storm to get ND to finally jump, but Networks aren’t having it and the SEC isn’t playing along this time.”
Will laugh my ass off if Notre Dame ends up in the SEC one day. 'Twould be pure gold. FWIW, lots of history between ND and SEC teams that have actually played @ Notre Dame in November in my lifetime: Alabama, LSU, Mississippi and Tennessee come to mind.

Do the AZ regents let one go with out the other?

So true! Such a brand! They (FSU) have not even won their division or been in the ACC Championship Game since 2014. Meanwhile, the true king of the ACC (Clemson) is keeping their head down and their mouth shut.
IMO FSU is just the first. To avoid appearance of collaboration among schools, FSU will set the tone/create the playbook for leaving the ACC.

If FSU isn't successful, no bigger damage done. The ACC schools probably don't fully understand what ESPN's reaction will be.
