Rasheed Sulaimon dismissal

ho-hum, Duke just gives minutes to another McDonalds AA, Grayson Allen, who's been languishing on the bench

Don't need him, only one year left to play and would have to sit out next year. We already have a younger version of him coming in next year in Hallice Cooke.

There were whispers that Sulaimon wasn't happy with being recruited over and losing his spot prior to the start of the season (G. Allen, Kennard, Cook). Assuming his dismissal doesn't involve anything with the law, and since he played last night I think that is a good bet. A 5 star SG who is a good 3 pt shooter and defender could be of interest to the staff on that last scholarship.

If he was able to graduate after this year I'd like him to see what Focustown is all about

I think that's the reason why most think we will go after him. In 2 years we will have Thomas, Custer, Cooke and maybe Morris if he doesn't go pro for guards, which breaks down to 2 PGs and to SGs. If Morris leaves then Sulaimon would probably starts at PG with Custer backing him up(not taking into account player development). If not then Morris obviously stays at PG with Sulaimon, Cooke, or Thomas starting at SG. Hoiberg would be able to mix in Custer and the 2 who do not start as well. Obviously this isn't easy to predict since it's still 2 years away but I wouldn't say we don't need him either.

If he graduates and can play right away, and we don't get the HS guys we are after, then why the hell not.

Probably a Korie Lucious type thing. He's a Junior right, so max 1.5 years left?

Max is 1 year left because he has been playing this semester. There are only two options for him:

1. Take a lot of summer classes to graduate and then transfer to play right away in 15-16
2. Transfer, use a redshirt year in 15-16, and play in 16-17

I am not even sure if #1 is possible for him, but as has been mentioned, if it could be done, Sulaimon would be the top transfer on the market this year. That said, it is not really a position of need for next year's squad.

Yep... we don't want the one year guys like Deandre Kane that don't impact the program at all... get real
Get real next year we have
Monte Morris
Naz Long
Jameel McKay
Abdel Nader
Georges Niang
Deonte Burton
Matt Thomas
Hallice Cooke
Clayton Custer
Georgios Tsalmpouris
Darien Williams
Possible Diallo
1 scholarship left
Why use it on a one year player when you have all this depth? And he's not an impact player.
