Rank the BIG 12

Strength of schedule is the phrase I think you're looking for. KU's schuedule has been significantly more difficult than other members of the Big 12.

...but they lost three of those tough games. That is a lot of non conference lossssssses.

This was more difficult than I expected.

1. Baylor
2. Oklahoma State
3. Kansas
4. Iowa State
5. Texas
6. Oklahoma
7. Texas Tech
8. West Virginia
9. Kansas State
10. TCU

Hate to say it, KU schedule is top-loaded, and its low end is mostly devoid of cupcakes.

ISU deserves a boost for winning every game, regardless of schedule, but so far we have the least-impressive high-end wins among the top 4, and BU/OSU/KU losses are all “good losses.” There isn’t a lot of separation among those four.

Upside: ISU may be "least-tested" among the top four, but potential seems to be bubbling beneath the surface.

We know Kansas, Oklahoma State, Baylor and Iowa State will all be battling for 1st place in the conference. But I wouldn't underestimate Oklahoma and Texas. They will be tough to play away or at home I believe. Texas and Oklahoma will be those "bubble" teams come March I believe. Kansas State is a team I believe that will play "spoiler" with a lot of the upper tier teams in the conference. I think Kansas State will more than likely be an NIT team when it is all said and done. West Virginia, Texas Tech, and TCU will all be below average, but not absolutely horrible teams. I honestly think the conference will be more competitive from top to bottom then in years past.

This. Kansas has one of the toughest schedules this year, and has lost to top-notch opposition. If you're doubting Kansas, I don't think you've watched them play. They have BIG players, and not in the lanky Hawkeye sense, either. Those guys are scary, and I'm afraid they're going to dominate the Big12, even if they've had a rough season so far.
Kansas has lost 3 games this year against good teams, but not top notch. I don't think Iowa State would have lost as much with Kansas' schedule but we will never really know. Also, had Kansas played Villanova I think Iowa would have beaten Kansas. Lets not act like Iowa State hasn't played a good SOS. I'm not saying Kansas won't end up ahead of Iowa State, but as of December 24th, they haven't looked as impressive game in and game out.
