I know what you mean.

"Bde Maka Ska (pronounced “be-DAY mah-kah skah”), which means White Earth Lake."

I wonder what Phillip Henry Elwood did wrong to lose the Ames drive named after him. He was a founder of your program at ISU.

I'm also going to miss the food smell from Tin Fish when I bike by. Lost their lease and getting replaced with some sort of fast soul food service. Supposedly they are better at serving food faster. The serving lines at Tin Fish were long and slow at peaks times but fish stuff seemed to fit the lakeside setting better IMHO. Not that it matters, with my ****** up intestines I cannot stop and eat during a bike ride anyway.

I was raised Catholic, and we watched Jesus Christ Superstar during one of my Religious Education meetings before I was confirmed. I really enjoyed it, but I love music so that helps.

I'm not really religious anymore, but I do miss the music sometimes.

My first marching band show my freshman year we opened halftime with Jesus Christ Superstar theme. We started with the whole band in a corner of the field so that opening as pretty powerful.

I can't say that I remember my first Marching Band show at ISU. Sad I guess.
I had just finished a season with Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, so that was still super fresh in my head. Still is, though my second year with Colts was more memorable.

My first show was a rock show with Black Parade and some 80s song I can't remember. YouTube doesn't seem to help either. Obviously hardly anyone cheers for the band but I think I will always remember the loud cheers we got after the hmb left the field and we were being introduced. Gave me chills.

At some point i need to learn how to pronounce the new name for Lake Calhoun. Or just risk being ostracized and keep calling it Calhoun. Leaning towards being ostracized.

So they did officially rename it? That should be about as effective as renaming the Sears Tower.

I always thought the fish tacos at Tin Fish were as good as their reputation.

I would have to pull out the band video to confirm my bold statement, but pretty sure it was during my first year. That was still when we had the director that marched 8-5, no glide stepping with him. Lots of fun music.

The best crowd response we ever got was when we played Green Day - Basket Case right in front of the student section. They actually appreciated that one even thought it was well on it's way to being a classic by the early 2000s.

Not feeling the first day of spring weather love here camped out next to the glaciers of Golden Valley. And it's snowing, just a little but still snowing.

Got my wife a new car.

Her new car color: Jade Green
My car's color: Wilderness Green Metallic

Both cars are essentially the same color when you see them side by side.

First comment from her sister: "It's so cute that you both got matching cars!"

Was never my intention, but I got such an amazing deal on her car that I could not pass on it just because of the color.

James Cameron is making a Terminator reboot. Says it's going to be a sequel to T2. Linda Hamilton and Ahhhnuld are returning. Filming begins in June.
If anyone could do justice to it I guess he would be the one but I really wish they would leave it alone. T3 was just a remake of T2 but at least introduced an interesting concept. Salvation was just dumb and then there was the abomination that was Genisys.

Wow. Even if Arnold get into great shape for his age, he's still far to old to pass for a relentless killing machine any more.

Too bad Eddie Furlong went into the dumpster. He was a good actor for a while before he got so far into drugs.

The problem with all of the Terminator sequels after 2 was they kept trying to outsmart themselves. Make something newer and cooler.

Hubby is working in his Pennsylvania office this week. They are expecting 12" of snow in the area from the latest nor'Easter.

Boxster: I need to go to LifeTime and lift some weights and run
Sloth: You don't really want to run on that indoor track. BORING!
Boxster: Can't sit here in my pajamas and listen to smooth jazz all day.
Sloth: Yes you can. It will be glorious!
Boxster: Must....get...dressed....
Sloth: Don't do it, recline in that chair and mellow out!
Boxster: [gets to feet and begins moving]
Sloth: It's snowing and icky outside!
Boxster: [dresses and grabs gym bag]
Sloth: LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
