My dad had an old coon hound that he would take out hunting. Dad would pick up his buddy 2 miles away in town and they would go out. The dog was kept kenneled up at night at our place but a bad storm came through one night. Somehow this dog escaped went the two miles into town and no idea how but got inside my dad’s friends house and woke him up in his bedroom.

Still have no idea to this day how it was possible.

in my brother's case the dog does sleep inside so that part is less creepy but how they manage to get in and out of places is a good question. That's one determined dog.

I took cabs, buses and the PM drove when he was there. I wouldn't mind driving in the countryside but the traffic in that town was crazy busy. The roundabout near my hotel had stop lights in it. That was the only way they could get a reasonable traffic flow.

Last time I was there I just took the train into town. After that everything was within walking distance. Horsham is a small town.
You rode around with the Prime Minister?

So they finally announced the deal with the company sale. Not really sure what the heck it all means as reading all that press release mumbo jumbo isn't really my forte. Of course judging by many of my replies on CF reading comprehension isn't exactly a strength either.

This goal to drink more water, less caffeine, and eat better foods is starting to get to me after a week. None of those three things bother me, its having to use the bathroom about hourly that is bothering. Either I shrunk my bladder or I may be water loading myself more than I should. Had a wrestling dad friend tell me that people will routinely have a gallon of sodium trapped water in their system. To shave quick weight he said his kid will avoid sodium as much as possible and double to triple his water intake about 4 days before needed weighins. Then a day before he cuts to normal intake and he will shave 6-8 lbs just doing that.

I haven't weighed myself but I think I'd shedded a couple gallons it seems.

Dan Gable was announced as the keynote speaker at an area dinner thing. They of course listed off that he is a 15 time national championship coach at EIU and what not and conveniently left off anything to do with his college career. I debated commenting that he was also a two time nation champion in college at ISU but decided it wasn't worth it.

He ceased being a Cyclone years and years ago. So no biggie.

Woke up cold. Debated getting up and turning the heat up or grabbing another blankee. Turning heat up was not an option as it turns out. Furnace died overnight. Boo hiss!

Furnace guy is supposed to be here late morning. Of course I have a noonish doctor appointment with guy it takes months of ahead scheduling to get in to see. Got electric heater blowing in living room so my big indoor tree thingies don't get to chill. At least it's 27 out and not below zero.

That wrestling thing must be really good for your body! o_O

Wait until you get older, and you have to get up 2-3 times a night to pee. I lean against the wall and then after awhile wake up with a start and think "How long have I been leaning here?"

The way I understand it is as such. Most of us don't drink enough water so our body stores water as a defense against dehydration. When you start drinking more water the body determines that it doesn't need to hold that water in reserve so it starts releasing it.

New person who outranks me is not great on attention to detail. Have three times called my employee by the wrong name (I've continually corrected) and repeatedly misspell a major product line. I've already corrected them on several things so far and hadn't on that because A. surely someone else is going to point this out, right? It's a fairly big deal and noticeable. Think like Amazon management spelling "Alexa" as "Alex". They are going to give presentations about this product, someone else is going to correct this, right?!?!? B. Since I've already corrected them on several things I'm trying to watch myself in that arena.

Finally, today their direct report (who knows how to spell this product but apparently has seen it incorrectly so many times from their manager now that they are doing it) uses it incorrectly in an email that includes me and that manager and their manager........I decide welp, now it's infecting others and I must stop this. I do a reply all politely pointing out the correct spelling. Sorry coworker, I had to use you as my foil on this.

If I drinks the beer, wake and pee a couple times. No drinky beer, no wakey.

Kudos to handling it maturely. (I'd be pi$$ed, but that's just me.) Always remember the Peter Principle - although there are some really ****** up exceptions.

I bought a hatchet. First one I’ve owned. Feels like either a manly thing to own or a psycho thing.

Quiet at the farm can hear a train passing 5 miles north. Now it’s horns in Kiester about 7 miles away.

There's some other stuff going on here and I very much fear that your post is the truth.

FYI, if you're interested in the tourney, don't wait until tomorrow morning to try to fill out your bracket. Last year, people were having trouble accessing the site for the three hours prior to the start of the tournament due to high traffic.

Right now, I'm only showing 5 people with brackets filled out.
