Damn it, I didn't catch your error in time. Oh well, I'll post it anyway...

This is what he had at first: "I assumed it was a block of better."

I've seen the woman in this commercial in two others. One for a phone company?? and one for BWW.

If they are being honest (which in some spectacular cases can be a big "if") , over 85% of the time they aren't even telling themselves "you may be not guilty".

But then again, there's the old prosecutor in me coming to the fore. Public defenders play an important role in our system, but I don't want to do it!

The only criminal cases I take now are for long-established clients of other sorts who need some help (and there aren't too many of those).

I have often wondered how defense lawyers rationalize what they do. I understand the theory of defending your client to the best of your ability.....but it has to leave a very unpleasant taste in their mouth at times (I would think, anyway).

There was a movie called ".....And Justice For All" with Al Pacino some years ago. His partner had defended a real sicko and gotten him off on a technicality, and of course the perp went on to hurt some more people. The lawyer became unhinged - he couldn't rationalize to himself anymore what he had done. Pretty strong stuff.

I was thinking this myself. Did she get a month ban or something??

What’s the bets on what she’s doing?

1) lurking and unable to post. Don’t she she pulled a GTO and ended up with a double ban.

2) Cross stitching like mad

3). Working on the first kid

4). PAinting rooms

5). Running in circles with her clown foot

6). What else?

- Spreadsheets

- Prepping for kickball, dodgeball, or volleyball season. Hopefully kickball season. That's my personal favorite.

Hubby was watching it (at work downstairs) and said it was easy, it they couldn't get the sports questions.

That always cracks me up about the college Jeopardy contestants. They can tear through any science, literature and history question out there, but the screen looks like a still-shot when Alex reads off something like "In football, a touchdown counts for this many points"

One of the Jeopardy writers is from Nebraska (so Husker fan). There was a category on just generic football terms/rules one time, and all the questions were video questions, using players from the Nebraska team. I think maybe one question was answered correctly.
