Shoveled and cleaned tended to the ice dams. Already planning at least one trip to see the Cubs although sadly that one is in St. Louis.

Should I spend $400 on a plane ticket to Denver or should I just drive there? I'm traveling alone so it would be a very long and boring drive but $400 for a 5 day trip doesn't seem worth it.

Hi, is this where we go to ***** about cold and flu season? Because this has been my week - wife develops sinus infection last Friday. Sunday afternoon is a trip to Urgent Care for the baby, who has a virus (not flu). Other kid wakes up in tears on Monday morning and he's burning up all the tune of a 101 degree fever, take him to the doctor - influenza A. So Monday and Tuesday my wife and I are both home taking care of two very sick kids. Wednesday my son feels better and goes back to school (good. Tamiflu is a ******* miracle drug). Baby is still down and out so wife and I each take a half day off at work where we're both already buried from missing the prior two days. I wake up this morning aching everywhere and with a throat so sore my voice is at a croak, and when I go to take out the trash and recycling the simple task leaves me gasping for air and in a cold sweat. Flu for me! This week has been an utter **** storm. I'll be glad when it's over.

Well, life still sucks here. Day Four of the flu with no significant improvement. And as an added bonus my daughter had an allergic reaction this afternoon so my whole family is sitting in the ER now. Hell Week rolls on.

Off to buy a new beard trimmer. Mine crapped out and I need to get trimmed to the famous @cyrocksmypants "sweat spot" length. Or shave entirely.

And run. Only 56 days till Goldies 5K.
I don't know where Pants' "sweat spot" is but I'm pretty sure I don't want to know.

The old phrase "don't sweat the petty stuff; don't pet the sweaty stuff" comes to mind.

It's only like a hour and a half flight too, the problem is the $$$.
If you flew would you have someone to pick you up or would you have to Uber to get around? That would be an additional expense. Me personally I would drive but I like driving. It's about 700 miles from Ames so about a 10-11 hour drive probably a bit more to eat along the way. Depending on the mileage you get Boxster's estimate of about $200 for the road trip sounds pretty close.

Plus you'll probably be higher than a kite out there, be safe and fly.
