I miss Up All Night with Pants and GTO. With you in the same time zone and GTO going all work work work work, late nights are dead here.
And agree on Mom GTO. The whole PR thing still sucks but our 24 hour news cycle and attention span has moved on to the mass shooting of the day and celebrity sexual misconduct of the day story. People without power and water has no sizzle.
Makes me feel good but it is frustrating because they keep sucking and the program is suffering because of that. I hate to be this way but one of the main reasons I left my old job was that I wasn't getting the promotion in that department to make more money so I kind of said screw you guys and went to a different department where they would give me that money. That's life I guess.
I think this is part of the problem along with the fact that one of the two people is not good at complex tasks/problem solving. She just wants to kind of sit in her little swim lane and not branch out. The other guy...I think he is trying but he stops short of fully understanding and executing the tasks.
Not sure if I will make it, either. I thought I heard the 4yr old up before 5:30a, but when I came out at 5:45 she was not in the living room. She came out about 6a and says she was out earlier, but went back to bed. So I am anticipating a nap from her.
I feel the same way about this place. I'm retiring for a number of reasons, but it is a sudden decision nearly entirely because of my boss. I just can't stand working for that person any more. Stress levels and blood pressure have become ridiculous.
The person who succeeds me will not have my 33 years of history in the position, and the breadth of knowledge I've built up (entirely NON-job title related). But it's the clients that will suffer the consequences. And that makes me sad...

You're not the only one with hard to sleep issues this week. Our home has had issues too.
Ehh. Since I have gotten married my life is pretty much killing spiders and pick socks up off the floor.
As a twice married man, I can tell you, it's not up to you. I will probably "get to" have a 4th kid in an effort to have that mythical Hopp girl that has eluded my generation.
