I've never seen the movie Very Bad Things and don't know the plot for me to emulate, so I don't know what you're talking about and have no comment.

We have a wall microwave/oven unit. On the microwave timer function, you set the minutes by entering 6-0-0 for 6 minutes. On the oven timer you set minutes by pushing just 6 for 6 minutes. There may have been times I wanted the oven timer set for like 4 minutes and end up setting it for 4 hours and wonder why the timer is not going off . . .

I use an old-fashioned kitchen windup timer for the oven. I'm too good at screwing it up and resetting the clock!

Teenage daughter just got accepted into the National Honor Society. Is it weird that I feel like she's accomplished more in 16 years than I have in nearly 50?

We took a walk last night around the neighborhood last night and we came across a group of neighbors out on their driveway playing guitars and singing and drinking. My daughter had to stop and listen for awhile. They waved us over and I ended up having a beer and singing Southern Cross.

Random and ******* awesome.

I've never be to your neighborhood (that I know of.) but I like it. It sounds like you've got some pretty cool neighbors/friends.

Has anyone ever heard of Manhattanhenge? My buddy was texting me about it tonight, I guess twice a year the sun lines up perfectly with Manhattan, New York's (sorry Surly) street grid while setting. I had never heard of it before tonight; seems kinda cool and leads to some interesting views.

He said the light reflects off of all the glass and it looks really cool to be there. May have to bucket list this.

Lame, as usual. I'm really not a fan of Vegas in the least. The only upside is that there were plenty of cute ladies with shorts so short that their butt cheeks were hanging out.

Bored. Saw in paper that new British show, Hooten and The Lady is premiering in USA tonight. Thinking, oh, British, might be quirky fun stuff, couldn't be worse then regular USA network fare. How bad could it be?

JFC, 20 minute in and it is almost unwatchably bad. The choppy video editing would have smoother view transitions if a 7th grader edited it on an iPhone.
