Almost forgot the oddest thing I saw today. Was at grocery and the gal in front of me at checkout was buying like eight plus magazines. All gossip, entertainment and tabloids. Checkout dude asked her about them and she says she drives over from Edina to Golden Valley every Thursday because this store puts them out on the shelves first. When I first saw her pile of mags I thought maybe she was buying them for a waiting room or something until I saw the National Inquirer. Tab for her two bottles of water and magazines was like $58. So, if I figure right, she spends like $50 a week on these things. o_O

I saw the dopplebanger of @cowgirl836 today walking back from work. Was even walking around with a notebook in her hand, I'm assuming for making charts and graphs and ****.

Knew it wasn't her though, because this girl was way too tall. Was like, 5'3.

Some friends of mine were at the concert at Stir when it passed through. Hopefully your car made it through ok.

I have a lot of smaller dents. Neighbors car has a busted sunroof. I'm looking up diy options because my insurance deductible is ridiculous.

Daughter has the Ringor pitching toe turf shoes (not spikes) and loves them. They are her most comfortable shoes.
I'll caution against Ringor spikes. It isn't firsthand experience, but we've been told stories that the spikes can poke up through the soles, which has resulted in some broken toes. I haven't verified this, and am properly skeptical. Nevertheless, DD will not wear the spikes. Shrug, fine with me, there's plenty of other brands.

I haven't heard any of those types of stories. I am more worried about other people's cleats coming through and breaking toes. On her cheap Nikes she had a cleat tear a hole all the way through, at least these are a little sturdier material. She got a nice gash from a cleat, but didn't break through. She is picky and when she finds something she likes, it always gets changed for the next year's model. That is what happens with old cleats. She will wear her current batting gloves down to threads because she loves them and they stopped making them 2 years ago. Change is hard. ;)

First step is to always leave it in the blazing sun, it will at minimum reduce the size of them. Some work the hair dryer and dry ice thing, but at the dealership we found that many of the dents would "disappear" in the hot days.

We don't have the sliding issue so much because in our area they don't enforce the avoid contact rule and most kids come barreling in in SB and BB. My son got mad about it in one game, a kid came in hard as the ball was coming, he knew there was little chance at the play so as the kid hit home(ball was about 4' out dying on a roll) he made the look like he thought he had the ball and dropped his shoulder into the kid and sent him backwards. Ref told my kid to avoid the contact next time. My son is known for loving hard contact in every sport, so these things don't surprise them.

My windshield is also a goner. Not sure how I didn't notice earlier this morning. I'm not sure if it's something worth putting through insurance to properly repair it all or not.

The sun will not pop out those dents. Safelite put one in for me about 2 years ago for about 225 and they came to me. No problems with it.

Depending on the make of your car a windshield might not be too bad. I got some chips filled about 10 years ago in my old Chevy Colorado. It would have been about $120 more to just replace it.
If you have any larger dings I have used this guy before and would go back to him again.

Yep, I used Safelite when I lived in Indy. Cost about 120 bucks to have them come out and replace the windshield in my Jetta I had back then. Pretty solid deal if you ask me.

I missed the part of the story where you got her number.

Good luck with the car Nickels. Our car was hit in a parking lot with no note recently, but husband always pays more for the low deductible. Still a pain to get body work done, was not fond of the ginormous SUV loaner they gave us..

BIL got a job at some outside sales company that is contracted with DirecTV. SIL had an offer but it turned out to be a scam. Kind of surprising she researched the company and it was legit, the job opening was spoofed off of a real one from the company and the person she interviewed with was listed on the real companies website. I felt bad for her until MrsWx told me she was supposedly going to make $30/hr for clerical work. That probably should have been red flag number one...

Ugh on the hail damage. A few other people from Omaha were showing their busted back windows and other damage after last night. Let's be done with the bad weather in Omaha for the next 5 days while we are there.

Check with your agent...the glass might not be the full deductible. I am surprised they didn't raise or cancel my glass coverage considering the number of windshields I have had replaced. Like at least four broken just from running the old daily work commute down the I-94 gauntlet. I had full glass coverage which is why I am surprised they didn't change that in my policy after all of the claims. Over my lifetime I have been sort of a road rock magnet.
