Random Thoughts X (The 9th Regeneration)

lots of cars at the neighbor's today including kids with cards and people coming and going. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it's a graduation party, but as best I can tell, their oldest can't be more than 8th grade.

Unless I'm well into McConaughey territory now and high school grads now look like 13 year olds to me.
 
Well after work a rain shower came through, after that got a 10 mile bike ride in it was kind of a rolling trail, flats were ok uphills proved how much conditioning I need. Oh well it was fun and good to go out.
 
ok, DH said his parents did a small family get together for him in 8th grade so I guess maybe that's it. I didn't realize 8th grade parties were a thing.
 
all observations of neighbors made while tackling the weed population that flourished during our travels the past several weeks. Glad that's done.

My post of relief.

The girls' team finally experiencing some success. Tournament this weekend; game 1: 4-0, good guys. Daughter scored second goal then preserved the shutout in goal the second half. Game 2 daughter scored ugly insurance goal in 2-0 win by crashing the goal on a teammate's shot and again pitched a shutout second half in goal. (Keeper has a broken finger so it is keeper by committee for foreseeable future.)

After struggling mightily all season they are starting to find some offense and will now be in this tournament's championship game tomorrow.

Yes, there is a little brag in there. She has worked so hard playing literally every position on the field. It is nice to see her have some success. I had to break it to Grandma and Grandpa who came up from Iowa to watch her for the first time this year that they are now required to watch all of her games.

Well they are grandparents they probably won't complain too much;), main problem would be if other grandkid events would interfere. Congrats on the wins and good luck to your daughter's team tomorrow.

I'm only 7 years out and this year's seniors look like 13 year olds.
 
Ran again tonight. Looked at the shadow of this slow dude with ****** form running next to me, then had to acknowledge it was me. Not the way I see myself. :( Was kinda of a total "Ah, ****" moment. Maybe guys my age should not be trying to run.
