At daughter's dance recital. Have watched this 14ish year old girl dance for 10 years and she stilll is awful. When do some parents figure out that their kid stinks at something.

Took a while to catch up. Between reading and wAtcbing my daughter's numbers it took a bit.

I didn't mind the group of 19 year old women dancing either. Think it's their last year will miss them.

We had someone in our office retire on Wednesday after 42 years here, leaving ME as the oldest person in the department, and second-longest tenured. Damn, that makes me feel really old today (a sore back isn't helping either). :(

Congrats on your new found seniority. Lord it over your minions.

Wife is in St. Louis until Sunday for a work conference, so I took yesterday and today off. Took the kids to the Dallas Aquarium. My youngest likes to get right against the glass to see the fish and just walks around and uses his little arms to move people out of his way.

It's hard to put shoes on those chunky baby feet!
Especially when they're wiggly!
"Designer shoes" were way out of our price range when my boys were babies. They wore the old-fashioned white hightops. Now those are the same price as the cute sneakers & moccasins. :)

Was part of a bachelor party last night. Iowa Cubs game in one of the outfield skybox suites, then we hit up the downtown DM bar scene. We also went in on a downtown hotel for those going to the bars. First time with DM bar scene, and probably my last. It's alright but at this I was among the oldest of the group getting **** faced drunk isn't my scene. I walked by two girls in their mid 20's who were also falling down drunk stopped me to spill their tales of woe. A part of our group came to where I was and took them off my hands.

At this point I just went back to the hotel. It was a fun time all in all and a much more entertaining night than my boring normal friday nights.
