Birdy drivers ed book for the Bday girl so she can get her school permit.(Ok it sucks as a gift, but the sooner she gets her school permit, she's one less kid to shuttle)

My nine year old looking over my shoulder asked why "someone has a monkey picture on there". I had to quickly pull him away from the computer before KC could reach through the monitor and throttle him and then explain that it is an ape not a monkey.

He likes to watch Curious George while having breakfast in the morning and they constantly refer to George as a monkey when he is clearly a chimp....

Chimps have the biggest testicles of all of the apes...

So - he questions my "monkey"? Does he also question pyro cow, Milla J with the smoke, two guys with hats, the airplane and the motorcycle, or the dork with the big wheel between his legs?

I got a new record for interview to rejection email. Three hours today. Turns out they have someone already pretty much doing the job so they are giving it to them. Doing my best to stay positive and I won't leave yet but this is now the third promotion opportunity I have come up second in since January. At least one more opportunity sometime later this year but after that it will get pretty slim....

No idea why I am saying all of this just venting.

My brother years ago went to a bar in Boxster's home town. It was a huge hawkeye hang out and a game was on. They had the iowa fight song in the jukebox at #111. Every time the hawkeyes scored or got a turnover or sack they would pump some quarters in the jukebox and repeatedly wail on the 1 button.

I can only imagine the torture that place was.

Driving there tomorrow. I will likely perish from the boredom and general small town vibe that is actually toxic to my system.

We have the manual from the DOT (which is now just basically a paper pamphlet). You can download an app to take practice tests. You have to have your permit for 6month before you can get your school permit, so November old be the earliest she could get that. I don't remember having to wait 6mo, but we probably did? That was almost 30yrs ago.
