Ugh this rain. Yard is so saturated, when I let the dog out, he gave me a sheepish look and pooped right in the middle of the sidewalk.

Estes Park and RMNP are my favorite places in the world.

1. Mexican place on the river walk isn't too bad
2. Glass blower on Elkhorn (Patterson Glassworks) is from CR
3. Hiking is a must but I suggest taking it easy the first day or two and walking around Bear Lake and then there are a few couple mile easy hikes from there. My favorite is hiking up to Emerald Lake. Get up early and be on the trail by 6 to avoid crowds and actually enjoy and hear nature.
4. YMCA of the Rockies is a great place to stay
5. Numerous great horse back and trout fishing companies to spend a half or full day with
6. Obviously drive trail ridge road
7.My family has gone to the Stanley Hotel (where Stephen King stayed and wrote the shining on) and enjoyed the tour.

Great info. Thanks.

I have a scenario question for you older people. Say you see one of your friends 17/18 year old kid trying to buy beer, how would you handle the situation?

I wouldn't say anything to the kid, but I may say something to the parent depending on our friendship. I assume this hypothetical situation has a non-fictional angle to it. Did one of your parents' friends catch you using a fake?

No wasn't me. One of my friends was about to buy beer and his future roommates mom walks in and calls him out. I feel like that's just the worst way to handle that situation.

I typed this long thing...deleted it. Suffice to say that I don't agree with the legal drinking age, but it IS 21, so buying beer at 18/19 is illegal. I'm just not sure if I would go out of my way to report to the parents.

Probably not the answer that BDK would expect from me. :D

Well, she DID prevent him from committing a crime, and possibly getting a heavy fine levied on the cashier, so...

The more I think about it, if it was just a casual friend's kid, I doubt I'd say anything to the parents. I'd probably only say something to the parents if they were good friends of mine and had trouble with the kid.

It would be ridiculously hypocritical of me to narc on a kid just to narc him/her out. I drank waaaaaay more before I was legal to drink. Turning 21 one semester before I graduated from Iowa State was especially sucky in that regards.
